Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about whether the Bible should be a part of education in schools as the Bible is one of the oldest documents in Western Civilization. Naturally, there are two groups: one that advocates the importance of this document and the other group that does not approve the influence of religion in the educational system. I enjoy the summer. It is a good time for family outings, more relaxed schedules (relatively speaking), and no homework. As summer winds down and Fall approaches, it’s time to turn our attention to school matters again. It’s fun—full of hustle and bustle. There is the excitement of new school clothes, getting those school supplies, and making sure all the school-assigned summer reading has been completed. And, then its finally here, the first day of school.

I have a routine with my daughter, Ky

Spiritually healthy parents walk each day, step by step, with God as their guide.

Sin is a reality of our lives. Without God’s love and forgiveness, the spiritually healthy family would be impossible.

Without God’s help, dysfunction is our only option.

According to a 2015 article in Idaho State Journal, the average cost for purchasing school supplies is $70. While that may not seem like a lot, if you have multiple children, those dollars add up quickly. What is a parent to do when the budget is tight, but the supplies

Last year I received an email correspondence from a desperate wife and mother: “I won’t watch my kids be physically abused anymore. I won’t listen to my girls be called vile, vulgar names. I won’t have things smashed or broken in the house. I won’t get into a vehicle and listen to him rage. No more ‘spending time together’ by me scrap-booking and him sitting two feet away running pornography on the computer! I refuse to stay home and not attend church because I feel guilty for leaving him alon

Dear Demetria:

I am the mother of two. I have an amazing husband and father to my children. The last child is not his, and he is unaware. His best friend and I had a one-night stand two years ago when my hubby was out of town. I can’t bring myself to come clean.

I just started going to therapy about this. The guilt is making me miserable. I feel honesty would break our whole family apart. I’m afraid to find out what my husband may do. —Anonymous

My grandmother had a saying about truth:
