In John 15:1-8 stands the well-known passage in which Jesus portrays Himself as the vine and His followers as the branches of that vine. Strictly speaking, He must mean that He is the trunk of the vine and we are the branches. He surely doesn't mean that He is the whole vine, both trunk and branches, and that we are also the branches, since that would hardly make sense of verse 2, where we are told that God prunes the branches that bear fruit. Pruning here symbolises God's discipli

Motherhood is not easy, and at times it feels like the to-do-list just keeps on getting longer every single day making it difficult for us to experience true joy and peace that can be found in God, our children as well as the Gospel. The importance of the faith is never lost on Chri

Have you ever been in a situation, where you have been praying about certain circumstances, and your faith levels are high. However when you don't see the manifestation of that situation you start to doubt? Then you hear a Word or read a passage of scripture and miraculously your faith levels are high again, however you're still waiting for the manifestation and now you're starting to doubt again.

I have done this on many occasions. I call this yo-yo faith, because one minut

You are unique, one of a kind, really you are! What happens when you look to others to find out how to act or even what to do? Disappointment and frustrated. We were not made to copy other people's lives. God created each one of us different, with different talents, abilities, and gifts. You may admire someone else's gifts, but if you try and copy what they are doing you will end up very frustrated. We can never do exactly what someone else does. If we look to another person a

It is now 10 days since the so-called “fight of the century” between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, and while many questions remain after the fight, in particular concerning the condition of Pacquiao’s shoulder on fight night, the most important question has not been asked; namely, what are the spiritual lessons we can learn from this mega-rich fight?

1. God is not particularly concerned with the outcome of a sporting event. We commonly hear athletes thank God after a victory, saying t

BEWARE OF WOLVES IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING
Matthew 7 verse 15 - 18
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognized them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?' Likewise, every good trees bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

Lonely people often feel empty or hollow inside (Berger).
The fear of loneliness or being alone is known by different names: isolophobia, monophobia or autophobia. Loneliness is a feeling of bei
