The Jameis Winston era is about to begin this fall in Tampa Bay, and Winston seems to have made a positive first impression on his new teammates. During an appearance on Sirius XM radio, veteran receiver Louis Murphy lauded Winston’s competitive spirit and compared him to Eagles backup Tim Tebow.

“He competes. He doesn’t like losing. He wants to win and that’s a guy I want to play with. He’s young, kind of similar to Tim Tebow in a way, he just wants to win. He’ll do anything it takes to wi

The Deflategate controversy took an interesting turn on Tuesday when Robert Kraft threw in the towel instead of challenging the NFL like many thought he would.

On Sports Tonight, Michael Felger suggested Kraft did an about-face with his argument because he and coach Bill Belichick were starting to believe that Brady wasn’t being completely transparent with what he told them.

That’s when Ron Borges threw out an interesting piece of information.

“Belichick never believed his story, from what I

Tom Brady, the star quarterback of the New England Patriots, was suspended for four games after an investigator concluded he was probably aware that team personnel let air out of footballs for a playoff game.

The league informed Brady in a letter from NFL Executive President Troy Vincent, who wrote that Brady failed to cooperate fully with the investigation and offered testimony that “was not plausible and contradicted by other evidence.”

“Quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended without pay

Despite a near constant stream of trade rumors, the Titans held onto their No. 2 pick and landed Marcus Mariota.

The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner was thought to be coveted by his former college coach, Chip Kelly, as well as higherups from the BrownsBears and Jets.

In the end, though, the Titans liked him enough to decline any and all offers that headlined one of the busier pre-draft periods in recent memory.

Mariota will provide a challenge for Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who will need

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are counting on Jameis Winston to help them become relevant again.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was selected with the first overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night, instantly becoming the face of a franchise that missed the playoffs the past seven seasons and hasn’t won a postseason game since the club’s Super Bowl run in 2002.

Class is in session, and Robert Griffin III is taking notes.

The Washington Redskins quarterback got a firsthand look at how Tom Brady and the New England Patriots operate last preseason when the two teams held joint practices in August. The squads then went in completely opposite directions, as Griffin’s Redskins finished 4-12 while Brady’s Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl.

Yet apparently RGIII’s observations of New England stuck with him. In a recent interview with NFL Media’s Jeff

The Philadelphia Eagles will sign Tim Tebow on Monday, according to a report from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the two sides began working on the framework of the deal when Tebow worked out for the Eagles in March. Among the many NFL records set in the 2014 season, most notable — and hardly surprising — was something done by Peyton Manning.

Former NFL coach Tony Dungy would be fine with signing ex-Baltimore Ravens and Rutgers running back Ray Rice, even with all the baggage and media attention he’d bring with him.

Here’s what Dungy said on Sunday’s “Football Night in America”:
