Hey men, I'm here to talk to you today and just challenge you a little bit from the Word of God. The Bible tells us in Micah chapter 6 verse 8

For he has shown you O man. What is good and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Now I want to look at this first part where it says to do justly. What does that mean and as a man, what does that mean to for us. To me to do justly means to do what is right to do what's right in the eyes

Sports stories have highlighted training strategies implemented by coaches that initially lead to an athlete's success, but ultimately broke down their bodies to a point where they could no longer compete. At the coaches' direction, athletes were overtraining, taking in too few calories to fuel their workouts, and competing while injured. What initially brought success is ultimately hurting them. But this sort of thing isn't limited to athletics. It happens spiritually too. When we heed the advi

Learning to Wait – Daily Devotional

Here's today's devotion. Today's scripture reading is Psalms 25.

To You, Lord, I lift up my soul.

2 My God, in You I trust,

Do not let me be ashamed;

Do not let my enemies rejoice over me.

3 Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed;

[a]Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

4 Make me know Your ways, Lord;

Teach me Your paths.

5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,

For You are the God of my salvation;

For You I wait all the

How to Drop Unforgiveness

by Tonja Taylor

I am so thankful the LORD only shows us what we can handle at the time. If He had shown me all the junk at once--the bitterness, anger, guilt, unforgiveness, envy, fear, shame, unworthiness, and such--that was in me for years, I would have surely just been so overwhelmed that I would have just passed out and gone on to Heaven!

"How are you?" our church friends and others ask. "Fine," we learn to say, for when we actually do bare our hearts and share the not-so-fine stuff i

Let's see what happens in Ruth chapter 3. When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down in the middle of the night. Something startled the man he turned and there was a woman lying at his feet. Who are you he asked? I'm your servant, Ruth she said, spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian redeemer of our family.

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went to a solitary place, where He prayed." Mark 1:35

My daily practice has been to follow what Jesus modeled; rising early, in a darkened, quiet, nurturing relationship with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Solitude, in the union of holy presence, fills me with renewal and spiritual vigor.

I have discovered my days flow smoother in maintaining this habit, which has become my most impor

How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as, strong or weak, capable or incapable? Do you believe that your past has to always affect your future. Do you believe that God loves you, do you believe today that you're special. Maybe all your life you've been treated like the tail end of everything? Maybe you had siblings and  it seemed to you like your mom and dad always preferred all the other kids over you maybe you had difficulty learning in school and you always got the worst grades. Maybe

The Need for Wisdom

by Mark Nickles

            The American Heritage Dictionary defines “wisdom” as, “Understanding of what is true, right or lasting. Common sense; good judgment,” something that is very much needed in our time. Thankfully, the Bible contains what is known as “wisdom literature”, the most familiar being the book of Proverbs. Following are just a few passages which, if applied, will not only save people a lot of pain and heartache, but could also lead to a better life in general.

Philippians 2:5–8 What’s the theme of your life? For many of us, it can change based on our circumstances.
