Daily Devotional: A Secret

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless (Ephesians 5:25-27 NASB).

“Adorn your crown with amethysts of admiration, affection, affirmation, approval, appreciation and attentiveness.”

Proverbs 12:4: “A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.”

Pulpit Commentary on Proverbs 12:4: “She that maketh ashamed; “that doeth shamefully” (Proverbs 10:5Proverbs 19:26); one who is a terrible contrast to the woman of strong character – weak, indolent, immodest, wasteful. Is as rottenness in

The truth is God's favor will change your life and everything in it, and I declare that everything in your life is breaking in your favor. That struggle, that problem, that difficulty is over now, because the Lord's favor is upon you hallelujah! Now many christians believe that they have to somehow earn the favor of God, but the truth is we already have his favor. God saved us because of his favor towards us. Ephesians 2:8 tells us

There are many Scriptures that teach believers to fear God, but not man. This includes all areas of our earthly existence: illness, relationship problems, financial troubles, emotional issues and every kind of pain and, perhaps most of all, death.

Fears of illness, death, and so many other sorts of disaster have never been as accentuated as they are today and this is a highly unfortunate condition, because when we abide in the fear of man, it makes us weaker and greatly increas

The timing of God's preparation for us is often not one that we could have imagined. So that also means that we could not have dreamt of the things that God has planned for us. Someone may probably ask why? Is it worth the wait? What god is preparing you for is worth the wait.

It wasn’t the first time Grandma Ford’s cooking came to mind. These thoughts are fresh so I’m compelled to rekindle memories. I thought of her yesterday while fixing my breakfast. Unlike most mornings, I wanted a big breakfast of eggs, grits, bacon and toast.

My husband Norm likes his eggs scrambled well or in vegetable omelets. He never has his eggs fried. On the other hand; I prefer fried, scrambled or French toast. I don’t buy bacon often; so adding it to breakfast yes

The pandemic has given us a heightened appreciation for first responders. We’ve repeatedly heard stories about the work of those serving on the front line. God is calling His people to prayer. Are you a first responder?

Do we think of prayer as the last resort or our first response?

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and wil

“Have you positioned pearls in your crown – pearls of patience, peace, perseverance and prayer for your husband? Oh don’t forget the rubies, the rarest of all gems. Is your crown radiating with rubies of reverence and respect for your husband?”

You know if we go back to Acts Chapter 16: here's where we see you know Paul takes Timothy under his wing in Acts. Chapter 16,

And then later in Acts, Chapter 16, we're going to see Paul and Silas are actually going to go to jail, so paul and silas were wrongfully accused. They were there preaching the word to Roman citizens. Gentiles were giving their hearts to the Lord. They were Receiving Christ as their Lord and savior, and because of this they were giving up all these false idols. So the

Busy, busy, busy!

Sometimes we might feel like we’re circus stars doing a balancing act.

Do you have the balance, flexibility and strength needed to keep from falling?

Maybe you’ve seen gymnasts on balance beams or parallel bars.

Easy does it (but it’s far from easy).

I speak from personal experience.

I was using the parallel bars in gym class. Never the athlete, I sprained my back. If graded on balance, I failed miserably. To make things worse, the accident happened
