Daily Devotional: God's Timing Is Always Perfect | God Is In Control!

The timing of God's preparation for us is often not one that we could have imagined. So that also means that we could not have dreamt of the things that God has planned for us. Someone may probably ask why? Is it worth the wait? What god is preparing you for is worth the wait.

Waiting is an essential part of being a christian even before the people of God were known as christians. That was a major feature of our spiritual journey waiting for God to give a sign. We're waiting for God to move, waiting for God to show us what he has planned. Sometimes this wait takes a long time, sometimes it's much shorter but from verifiable experience. It is clear that that's the only true path for a christian waiting on God, so what does it mean to be prepared and to wait? What does it mean to be prepared?

The answer to this can easily be found in the Bible. To be prepared or being prepared, is to be made ready for the particular mission that God is calling you for now. God prepared david for his battle with goliath. By giving him the fortitude to fight off predators, praying on his father's flock Jesus prepared the apostles for their work after he was gone by letting them travel with him, teaching them and then sending them The Holy Spirit to help them in their work. But what does it mean to wait? While waiting for lack of a better expression is being patient? While God's plan for you is fulfilled, The Apostles waited for the Holy Spirit, Moses, constantly waited on God for directions on how to lead his people and Ruth waited on God to help her find the right husband after she had lost her first husband. Now throughout the Bible, we're faced with men and women of faith going through this sequence of preparation and waiting, sometimes separately in preparation for a bigger mandate from God. So, in summary, when God prepares you or makes you wait it's because he has something that he has planned for you, a mandate meant just for you.

So what is God preparing you for? In other words, what is this mandate? Well, the mandate that God has for you could come in several forms. It could be ministry through music, it could be ministry through serving others or maybe just caring for other people and what's going on in their life, this mandate, God calls you for, is often integral. Not just to your growth but to the growth of his kingdom as well, so, whatever God prepares you for, he directs it towards.

Firstly, the talents that you possess and, secondly, the need for those talents. The timing of God's preparation for us is often not one that we could have imagined. So that also means that we could not have dreamt of the things that God has planned for us. Someone may probably ask why? Is it worth the wait now?

This question is one of the most popular and it's also one of the most important when it comes to God's plan for our lives. We don't always get the answer in direct form, but he has answered us here. We have to wait because God loves us and the weight on him he has asked us to do is for something else, something deeper than simply what we want, but something worth being given to the child of God. Now this idea is a very important concept and when we as human beings, try to force things to go away instead of waiting for the insight that god provides, we become less discriminate in choosing what we will go for and what we won't go for. Instead of waiting for God to provide the job that he has in mind for us, we rush and we try quick, easy ways to make money instead of waiting for God to direct us on who to work with, we choose anyone, because we don't want to start alone with God, he is very discriminate about what he gives his children and he does not just give you something that will harm you or deter you, but it gives you something that will help you grow and be a better person or a christian.

Now he gives you things that fit into the grand plan of his purpose, for you, so having god, working in your corner is like patiently waiting for a home-cooked meal from a loved one. It'S not like what you're about to eat has made for everyone. Make no mistake, but more likely than not the food was made with thoughtfulness with kindness and love, and each ingredient was being selected, so you could enjoy it and that's how it is with god now luke chapter 12 verses 28 tells us that if that is how God clothes, the grasses of the field, which is here today and tomorrow, it's thrown into the fire. How much more will he clothe you? Oh you of little faith, if god clothes and protects the living plants, even the animals of the field, as well as he watches over everything in the world, then why do you believe that he wouldn't be here to watch over us?

Why do you believe that he wouldn't give us much more than just beauty and splendor but purpose as well? Why, then, do we live like our plans, should supersede those of the most high? It'S funny. Look god never fails. His plans never fail his vision for the future never fails, and it always works out accordingly for our good.

In fact, every promise is kept sacred. A covenant between him and us is people, and this is why we should wait for him, because, through all the noise and the trials through all the waiting and the preparation period, God is always working things out for our good and his plans are worth the wait. So you might ask: what should you do while waiting so while being prepared by god and waiting on him? It can get very easy to feel like we are at a standstill that everyone else around us is taking on life's fastballs and curveballs without flinching. Yet we're stationary, we might be tempted to panic and run around like sheep without a shepherd, but it's important to remember that we do have a shepherd one who watches over us with an intense desire to see us succeed and then prepares us accordingly.

It is also important in these moments to remember that, with God, it is better to stand stationary in God's will than to live an earthly pleasing life out of it being stationary, when god has a plan and waiting is not a sign that god has forgotten you. Instead, it means that God is taking his time, because this is what he does. He takes his time so that the future he has planned for his children come to fruition and it's worth the wait. While you wait, it is important to keep working on yourself to keep praying and listening to God as he speaks to you. I want you to come to him.

Yes, I want you to come to him for reassurance when you feel yourself losing sight of the promises that he has made. Now God does not turn away from us when we pray instead, he listens and he listens and listens. Giving us the strength to continue on our way for him. Finally, nothing helps like the constant reminder self-reminder, that God's plan for our lives are worth waiting for, that we are better off walking the way the gears planned than opposite it. Much like swimming against the tide with the tide we find that swimming with it is a lot easier than against it.
