“There is no jewel in the world so valuable as a chaste and virtuous woman.”

– MIGUEL DE CERVANTES

Proverbs 12:4: “A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.”

Matthew Poole’s Commentary on Proverbs 12:4:

A crown; a singular ornament and matter of his glorying and joy.

That maketh ashamed; that by her folly or wickedness bringeth shame to herself and to her husband. As rottenness in his bones; loathsome, and vexatious, and pernicio

What’s your honest opinion? Do red lights interfere with your schedule?

My husband doesn’t like sitting at big city red lights. They take so long to change. Personally, I prefer red lights over 4-way stop signs. Red lights take the guess work out of stopping and proceeding into traffic. I wouldn’t find opinions or preferences in the Louisiana driver’s manual. The pamphlet explains the laws.

What about caution lights? Many drivers speed up to avoid the changing from yello

Psalm 23

"Jesus is my Shepherd; I shall not want. Jesus makes me lie down in green pastures: Jesus leads me beside the still waters. Jesus restores my soul: Jesus leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Jesus is with me; Jesus' rod and His staff comfort me. Jesus prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Jesus anoints my head with oil; my cup runs

“In contrast to the wise woman, the foolish woman is not content to be a keeper at home. She is not satisfied with where God has put her. One of the things the feminist movement has done so successfully is to stir up discontent in women with being homemakers and to convince them that other pursuits can increase their sense of self-worth… Fueling discontent and pushing women out of their homes in search of greater meaning and satisfaction has resulted in off-the-chart stress levels for many

In today’s devotional we will be talking about something really important. It can be a reason why many people aren’t doing well or why many are stuck in a place. Most times some of us wonder, how come my blessing never comes? How come my plans fail, I had a great idea but it just fizzled out now someone else is doing it and it seems like a terrific idea what happened to me? It’s amazing sometimes that the little things we do are responsible for the major failure we get in life. So in toda

“Oh don’t forget the rubies, the rarest of all gems. Is your crown radiating with rubies of reverence and respect for your husband?”

But as rottenness in his bones is one that causeth shame.

5 Ways To Focus on Goal Setting

Life is nothing but an obstacle course, it's all about getting through that obstacle course to your desired goal that most people seem to have a problem with. It's only normal to encounter obstacles in the pursuit of your goal. It's kind of a test to see if you're worthy.

However, when these obstacles start to become a nuisance to the point of almost putting a stop to your goal(s); or worse, making one completely abandon his/her goal, one must take action and think things through.

So, with

Many times in life, we are faced with different challenges. This life comes with its own pressures in every sphere. Sometimes, you might seem to have failed in what you want to do. And right there you are. A downcast. A laughing stock. Your friends chose to leave you. Then when you turn around, you find nobody but yourself. This is a typical description of someone who has lost everything or something that he holds dear. What am I saying? There are things that you have to accept. For instance, yo

Daily Devotional: What a Find

Many accuse Christ followers and evangelicals of being narrow minded. In a way, thats true. Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13-14 NASB).

I have a terrible sense of direction.

I’m easily confused; especially in new places. The problem goes beyond highways and interstates; I have a hard time finding our table in a restaurant when returning from the ladies room.

Do I turn right or left? I wonder if a GPS would help.

Is there help for the confused?

Oh no, this town has one-way streets.

Help!

I know one thing; there is only one way to God.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no

“Just a minute! You can’t forget the crowning jewel of all – contentment! This jewel adds luster to your crown. This jewel releases your husband from bondage and pressure. Sadly, it is often a missing jewel. It’s easy to be content when you have everything you want. But can you learn to be content when you don’t have everything you want? Can you be content with what your husband provides for you? I am always challenged by Psalm 128:3 TLB where it talks about the “contented” wife in the h

We’ve all done it at some time or other. We put off our exercise routine until tomorrow; we continually delay finishing that project or starting that business.

Procrastination is the mother of all demons and can literally stop you in your tracks from achieving all that you desire.

Here are 5 effective processes you can use to slay this giant.

1. Do it now

Hold your breath and jump right in! Putting things off until the last minute is a bad habit and like all habits is ingrained in our sub
