One of the things that really excites me about 1 Timithy in the Bible
is that Paul is writing a letter to Timothy and, in this letter, he's really given some instructions of what does it look like to have godly character right? What does godly character for a leader really look like, and another thing that I really like about this book, is that I also think that paul does a really good job of connecting these godly characteristics with the gospel message and really pointing out and showing us th

Almost every man believes in one thing or personality or the other. No matter what, you have faith in someone or something. You can convince that you don't believe in anything or anyone and I will agree with you if you do not have a handset (mobile phone) or you do not ride any vehicle.

Whatever might be the brand of the mobile phone or vehicle that you ride, you believe in the product that it will work for you. You have faith in it. Do you know that it is possible for

What do you expect from the word of God? Your expectation is a function of what you know and understand of God's word. And the word of God delivers to you what you expect from it; for your expectation shall not be cut off. Therefore, increase your expectation of the word of God to increase what it delivers to you.

Have you ever felt like quitting God? Or have you ever thought of taking a break from your service unto God? This is the case with some believers. But, the truth is that it's not the Lord's will for you to draw back. And God doesn't take pleasure in those who draw back from the faith. So, this article tells why you should be steadfast and immovable in your walk with God.

What makes you a leader?
Is it your gift to teach, your gift to preach or the charismatic way that you present yourself?
Maybe it's your flashy business card, your awesome website or the fact that your videos have been seen on the internet so many times.
Is this what makes a true leader?
No, what makes a true leader is the heart to serve. Not serve oneself, but serve others.
I find that in my daily Christian walk, I've encountered more titles than leaders, this is a very sad

Daily Devotional: The Grouch

by PamFord Davis

‘You made my day!’

I want to have a sweet spirit.

Nobody wants to be around a grouch.

Sesame Street’s Oscar the Grouch is a well known fictional character.

I wonder if the creator had someone in mind.

Did he search the Scriptures?

Was Nabal on his mind?

David’s men made a reasonable request. The grouch refused.

“When David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal in accordance with all these words in David’s name; then they waited. But Nabal answered David’s s

Daily Devotional: Rain Showers

by PamFord Davis

I’m tired of the rain. To be more specific, I’m tired of walking through the mud in our front yard. The same rain has led to flash flood watches and warnings in our area. Yet, showers are a blessing.

“I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing. Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their la

Daily Devotional: I Confess

by PamFord Davis

I nag; I complain.

I confess.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power] (James 5:16 AMP).”

Why do I nag and complain?

“For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them

"And He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed, 'Father if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.' Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.…'    Luke 22:42-44

Is this not the crux of our Christian life?

Practice Non-Random Acts of Kindness
“Kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see” (Anonymous).

You have probably seen the bumper sticker that reads, “Practice Random Acts of Kindness.” The point is that acts of kindness will neutralize random acts of violence. Biblically, acts of kindness are not meant to be random, but via the Holy Spirit, they are to be a way of life (Galatians 5:22).

“Kindness” has been defined as “benevolence in action.” It is basic

I remember gym class; I don’t remember it fondly.

I’ve never been athletic or very interested in sports. Exercise in elementary school was okay but I dreaded physical education classes in junior and senior high school. New York State believed it was part of a student’s full rounded education. Unwillingly, I went to the locker room to change into my gym uniform and then into the gymnasium. It was not enjoyable. Yet, I did exercise.

Decades later, I began to see the need to stay physically fit
