christian living (1407)

Reading self-improvement articles, books, and the Bible can be a good investment in yourself. However, unless you make a real effort to apply the strategies and knowledge to your life, little is likely to change. There’s a big difference between knowing how to do a pushup and doing 100 pushups each day. Knowing what it takes to become self-confident won’t get the job done. Application is critical.

Daily Devotional: For You....

If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ,
if his love has made any difference in your life,
if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you,
if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor:
Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.
Don't push your way to the front;
don't sweet-talk your way to the top.
Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead.
Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage.
Forget yourselves long enough to lend a he

All praise, honor and glory be-long

To the God who's strong with authority
He's matchless, this rap is lyrically graphic
Cause it's a tactic to speak truth so you can grasp it

(The Tonic)
If you can grasp this
You can live in fullness in between your birth date and your death date
Where the dash is
And your casket or your fancy grave brick
Can be the hot spot where the cherubim sit
'Til the Father says, "Roll back the stone bring him to the thrown,
Yea, cause where He laid his heart is his

My existence involves the functioning and unison of both my mind and body. My physical and spiritual health are both equally important to me.

I know that to look good means to feel good. However, I also accept my “imperfections.” I am content in knowing that I am enough just the way I am.

What I tell myself in the mirror translates into how I present myself in the presence of others. I exude confidence because I remind myself that I am next level.

Mental and spiritual grounding leaves litt

Daily Devotional: Show Him Off!!

"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God,

Does your morning routine include staying in bed as late as possible while barely making it to work on time? Starting the day off on the wrong foot can negatively impact your entire day.

Imagine how different your life would be if you had a morning routine that lead to a good day, instead!

If you’re like most people, your morning probably goes something like this:

  1. Alarm goes off.
  2. Hit snooze (3 times, at least).
  3. Lie there and think about how much you don’t want to get up. Or maybe you thi

Daily Devotional: Speechless...

literally....

"I'm speechless, in awe—words fail me.
I should never have opened my mouth!
I've talked too much, way too much.
I'm ready to shut up and listen."
                                                                              Job 40:3

In the above passage, prior to Job being rendered speechless...he had approached and questioned God.  When God begins to respond Job snaps back to reality and realizes who he is talking to.  When confronted with God's awe, power and majesty

Let’s say that you’re an entrepreneurial app developer. You’ve released apps in the past that have been highly successful, as well as a few duds. Now it’s time to work on your next project.

Problem is you have too many ideas and no idea which to work on first!

So we’re going to apply the concept of “kaizen” in a unique way to answer that question, and then see how the same approach can be useful in other areas of life.

So kaizen means “improvement” and the idea is that you’re employing small c

Daily Devotional: Representation!

Art by Gospel Graffiti Crew

Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don't let anyone put you down because you're young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.
1 Timothy 4:11-14 (The Message)

It's all about Representation. Jesus c
