After T-Mobile discontined sales of the iconic Sidekick smartphone last July, some wondered if the company had plans to keep the brand alive. Sprint annouced Kyocera Echo, the first Android smartphone with two capacitive touchscreens. 

Sprint’s February 7th event has no iPhone 4, but it featured a brand new phone that will use Android as operating system, the Echo manufactured by Japanese company Kyocera. The name is perfect because the smartphone has two capacitive touchscreens, and can be combined to form one screen.

O2 will be the only mobile provider offering a white version of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play, aka the PlayStation Phone, when the handset launches in the UK.

The firm said on Twitter: "Great news: not only will we be selling Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, we'll have an exclusive white version."
