Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seem.

Having faith is being "sure" of what you hope for and "certain" of what you do not see. Faith is being sure; faith is being ceretain.

Faith is the substance; what is substance? Substance is material; it is matter, something that exist. Faith is having the thing you believe for. It is the evidence that you already have it even though you cannot see it at the moment.

Have you ever done this? Have you ever conveniently made something you really wanted to do to be "the will of the Lord?" I have. Early in my life there were several times that I really wanted to do something. It wasn't illegal and it wouldn't hurt anyone else (at least as far as I knew), and so I reasoned that it must be the will of God.

Let me ask you - what is the point of praying if you are going to continue to worry about what you have prayed about. Do you for one moment think God is going to honor that prayer? I will be bold and answer that for Him. OF COURSE NOT!! God only answers prayers of "faith". And when we pray in faith we will not worry, because we know without a doube that we have the petetions we have prayer for.

Scripture tells us "be anxious for nothing." That is a "command" from God. It is

 

Jesus Christ never compromised. Jesus never said, "I am right and you are wrong but for the sake of peace I will meet you halfway". This is not how it works in the Kingdom of God. God verily does not seek popularity and Heaven is not a democracy but a monarchy with Almighty God on the throne. No matter how committed you are to your religion, how passionate you believe and defend its doctrines, it is necessary to be on the right track otherwise you will be lost. The Bible

 

"One thing I have asked of the LORD...to behold the beauty of the LORD." Psalm27:4

Every day I can see God's works, they are visible. Through them I can trace the action of creating them back to God.

There is a lot of beauty in God's creation. The colours and shapes of leaves on trees. Now bronze, yellow, copper, orange, brown, red and green. Not only colours but intricate patterns as maple leaves drop transforming a tarmac drive into a layer of leaves.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and very often this is true. There's a picture that I'm certain many of you have seen. It was circulated widely around twenty years ago. I scanned it into my computer and pull it up from time to time when I need a good encouraging laugh. It is what we have all been waiting for. It is what we have all been anticipating since it's foretelling in the scriptures. It is what God wants for His church. It is what today's church is lacking and extremely desperate for. It is what the church body was always supposed to be. It is the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments coming to pass. It is what the world of the lost has been searching for but cannot find. It is God's power displayed and His love revealed. It

 

So many people are in a continually state of unrest. It is important that you take time to rest your mind, body, and spirit. Otherwise, your entire system will be out of balance. When you system gets out of balance you can be susceptible to illness, negative thinking, depression, anxiety and fatigue. 

How does one get in a state of unrest? Being constantly geared-up, worried, anxious, and fearful, thinking the worst, and not allowing your mind to just rest. As well as not eati

 

We Christians are a family. If family members are in trouble, the others should rally round to help. This is especially the case when the trouble is not caused by any wrongdoing but is actually the result of doing what is right. 

We see costly Christian care and concern for fellow believers often on the pages of the Bible. For example, in Acts 2:44-45 and 4:34-35 we are told that in the first years of the church Christians who had possessions sold them so that they could give to fe

There are numerous places in Scripture where the author tells his readers to pray for him (and often for others too), and in most of these passages specific information is given about how

Faith is having a strong conviction about something and for us Christians, it is simply having confidence in the Word of God. Whether we like it or not, for as long as we are in this world, we are in a battlefield and only faith can put us in the line of victory. 1John 5:4 expounds-'For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.'

By this same faith, the elders of old obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:1-2 declare

 

It was an interesting time of prayer spent with God recently that opened my eyes to putting my faith into action with declaration. I'm sure you have done the same thing, you pray over again and over again for something or someone as you remind God of the need. That is what I started to do but something unexpected happened. Three times as I started to pray I would start to say "I pray for .." but instead what came out was "I praise for". I had already prayed for them and for

 

Foolishness or faith? Decide for yourself. It is all in the way you perceive reality. In the scope of eternity, it was not that long ago that people believed the earth was flat. I would say there is a marked difference between flat and round. Society largely rejected the claims of it being round as foolishness.
