Why We Suffer?

uturnlogoA.png
by stephanie reck

Use suffering to build your character. Don't resent it or let it tear you down. When we suffer, if we faithfully represent Christ, our message and example affect others for good. Our inner attitudes do not have to reflect our outward circumstances. It is easy to get discouraged about unpleasant circumstances or to take unimportant events to seriously. Some people think that troubles are always caused by sin or lack in faith, trails may be a part of God's plan for believers. Ex

God Has Better Ways.

There are myriads of problems confronting man. One thing is that humanity will always want solutions to those problems. Not only this, man has his own ways of solving problems according to the wisdom God gave him. However, man's ways are always different from God's ways and His ways are always better. His solutions are morin superior.

It is worthy of note that human problems are not caused by any other but they are self.inflicted. Man authors his problems.

For example, in th

Several years ago I read an article on bullying in the workplace which asked how the workplace had become such a war zone. Most of us have had to deal with difficult bosses and co-workers at some stage of our lives, but I was astonished to learn that the degree of aggro some people face leads to clinical depression and sometimes, suicide.

Bullying is a term we think of in relation to school kids, not adults. Sadly, bullying in the workplace is present in Australian society

7 Pillars Success

by Ngozi Nwoke

Success in life is a life-long adventure, as no one actually graduates from the school of success. We all have equal opportunities to succeed in life, but for you to have good success, one that is true and lasting; it must be rooted in God and His Word. It is God who gives success and the grace to enjoy it as well. That is why a truly successful person is not only successful in the works of his hands, but also in his family, health, mentality, etc., and so a discovery of what tru

Learning to Love Like Jesus

faith_in_Christ.jpg
by stephanie reck

How I wanted to love like Jesus, I just had been through so many hurts throughout my life that it made it difficult. I had studied on spiritual warfare, healing, and my identity in Christ, but I had not studied anything about love. I began to realize that I would never have peace until I learned how to love. I knew I did not have the ability to love, but I did believe that God could love through me.

How do we learn to love like Jesus? By spending time with Him. We have to know

The Woman Who Fears the Lord

by Mduduzi Mbiza

Genesis 2: 21- "so the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 - And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man."

There's one important reason why women are celebrated DISCIPLINE!

When God took out one rib from Adam and that rib which was placed into a woman was discipline. Many women don't know this, but women are the most discipl

You Can Be A Happy Woman

On May 22, 2015, a woman Minister of God referred to men as containers bought by a woman whose contents are not known at the time of purchase. On arrival at home, opening of the containers reaveal the true contents. She said some women found beverages in their containers. Some women found sand in theirs; while many women found granite. Discoveries of women after marriage differ in respect of the true contents of their men.

This is true.

Are you surprised? I don't know if you

It's not a verse in the Bible, but it appears everywhere: Chase your dreams! You can see that it's wise advice, but then there is this fear inside of you that is afraid to even admit your dream to yourself much less anyone else. You may have no idea where to start. Here are five steps to guide you as you pursue your dreams in life:

1. Make a list of dreams. Nothing is too small or too big to list. If you want something to happen in your life, list it! Your list might include things

Can You Love Your Enemies?

"Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you." Luke 6:27 NKJV

The above verse of the Scriptures is a direct and straight forward command from Jesus Christ. Every lover of the Lord must obey ALL His commands without exception. This command of the Lord may look "hard" to obey by Christians but with the help of the Holy Spirit, it can become easy to obey.

One thing I have observed about every command of Jesus Christ is that each has great benefits. To access these benefit

Have you ever told yourself, "Life is not fair?" Have you struggled with the reality of the way your life has turned out? Did you have different dreams and hopes for your life?

One of the best ways to deal with the unfairness of life is acceptance-accepting that this is how things are and how you can find ways around it to thrive better. You have to learn how to navigate your life differently. If what you are doing is not working, such as, hoping and wishing things were differ

Living Without Fear

When God gave Israel the law on Mount Sinai, the occasion bristled with utter menace; to the extent that not just the people, but even the venerable Moses, was terrified. The Bible, as ever true in all its reportage, puts it like this: "And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake." (Hebrews 12:21)

The most devout, spirit-filled believer will experience periodic fear; and that is to be expected. You would be inhuman if your child, or grandc

WE ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT

WE ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT

We are not always right! me included. It is sometimes very hard to know what we believe in, is something not true. Some people might throw the Bible at me at this point. My answer is that we can interpret the Bible wrongly at times and not know it. Our churches can interpret the Bible wrongly too at times. The proof of that is, different denominations have different beliefs on some areas, somebody has to be wrong, we cannot all be right. People are people

The slogan
"The customer is the most important part of the production line" William Deming

I remember many years ago, whiles a marketing student in one of the nation`s polytechnics, we answered to a simple yet rich slogan thus: "PROMAGS Innovation"; "Customer satisfaction Our Priority".

Apparently, this slogan was in sync with what we stood for as marketing students or better still what we stood for as future marketing professionals. Marketers are trained to relate to custome

HOW TO WIN THE WAR

2 Corinthians 10: 3
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We have been given by God many different weapons to use to win this war. First we look to Jesus our Saviour who shed His precious blood to cover us with His righteousness as if it is our own righteousness. Jesus died and rose from the dead so that we become equal heirs w

"The man who will go that second mile, the man who will give more than is expected of him is the man who succeeds" Anonymous

When saddled with a given task or responsibility, people generally behave in one of four ways. Some have the proclivity for ignoring their assignment. In this instance, they shirk their responsibilities altogether. Others may perform below expectation whether deliberately or coincidentally. This is where an attempt is made to perform a given task howb

Why would you not want to go to church? Do you need encouragement before you can attend church services? There are one thousand and one reasons why people, including "Christians" don't go to church. But despite their reasons, God still desires that His people go to church and He has packaged great blessings for those who will obey Him. This article gives the benefits of going to church.

Getting rid of God

Governments of the world have set the tone. They have legalised the expulsion of God from the corridors of government, educational institutions, public places and are now even attempting to dictate to churches what they should preach. And they have legalised the killing (through abortion) of children. In America alone 50 million abortions were performed over the last 30 years and that's only the documented cases. To put this into perspective, 50 million is more than the entire p

In John 15:1-8 stands the well-known passage in which Jesus portrays Himself as the vine and His followers as the branches of that vine. Strictly speaking, He must mean that He is the trunk of the vine and we are the branches. He surely doesn't mean that He is the whole vine, both trunk and branches, and that we are also the branches, since that would hardly make sense of verse 2, where we are told that God prunes the branches that bear fruit. Pruning here symbolises God's discipli

Motherhood is not easy, and at times it feels like the to-do-list just keeps on getting longer every single day making it difficult for us to experience true joy and peace that can be found in God, our children as well as the Gospel. "A mother's work is unending", the old proverb goes. There is much joy to found in the process of raising our kids, but it is so often the case that this joy is laced with frustrations and exhaustion.

The importance of the faith is never lost on Chri
