What makes you a leader?
Is it your gift to teach, your gift to preach or the charismatic way that you present yourself?
Maybe it's your flashy business card, your awesome website or the fact that your videos have been seen on the internet so many times.
Is this what makes a true leader?
No, what makes a true leader is the heart to serve. Not serve oneself, but serve others.
I find that in my daily Christian walk, I've encountered more titles than leaders, this is a very sad

Geez, all through his ministry, people were trying to trap Jesus, the Sadducees and the Pharisees and Judas trapped him in the garden, and the Roman official stuff They had him trapped on the cross. But Jesus was always the one even when they thought they had him. They never really had him because he was always in control. Even on the cross, there were over 300 Messianic prophecies that Jesus fulfilled in his life and in his death, and so Jesus was Jesus was never  really trapped, see here. He i

Almost every man believes in one thing or personality or the other. No matter what, you have faith in someone or something. You can convince that you don't believe in anything or anyone and I will agree with you if you do not have a handset (mobile phone) or you do not ride any vehicle.

Whatever might be the brand of the mobile phone or vehicle that you ride, you believe in the product that it will work for you. You have faith in it. Do you know that it is possible for

Competition: The Heart Of A Man

Orlando, as a city, thrives on tourists. I heard recently that Orlando and its surrounding areas (Disney World, etc) hosted 25 million tourists last year - which is about twelve tourists for every one person who actually lives here. What this means is that, during the summer when all the tourists come, it's basically impossible to walk without bumping into an out-of-towner. It also means that, during the winter when all the tourists are back at home, the businesses which t

As men, our righteous pride begins with our pride in God. We don't want to be proud of God just in our hearts, we want to let everyone know how proud of God we are. I believe that the Psalms 44:8 passage also shows that there is some kind of connection between being thankful to God and boasting in him. It seems to me that boasting about ourselves and being thankful to God tend to be mutually exclusive:

"But the one who boasts must boast in the Lord." (2 Corinthians 10:17)

Daily Devotional: I Confess

by PamFord Davis

I nag; I complain.

I confess.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power] (James 5:16 AMP).”

Why do I nag and complain?

“For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them

As Ruth prepared to head to the threshing floor in the middle of the night to speak to Boaz under the cover of darkness. She's all cleaned up, she's got perfume on and she's ready to go. Let's see what happens in Ruth chapter 3. When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly uncovered his feet and lay down in the middle of the night. Something startled the man he turned and there was a woman l

"And He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed, 'Father if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.' Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.…'    Luke 22:42-44

Is this not the crux of our Christian life?

"And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]."--Colossians 3:15, AMPC

This morning, although I got a good night's sleep, it seemed the traff

We've been looking at Samson, One of the things Samson was known for was his great strength. He he killed a lion with his bare hands. He was attacked by a lion and he ripped that lion apart and he defeated that lion. He killed a thousand men at one time with the jawbone of an ass. The Bible says you know he was at one point. He picked up the gates of the city, which were huge and put him on his back and he carried them away. He was known for some great feats of strength and, as we look at Samson
