I remember gym class; I don’t remember it fondly.

I’ve never been athletic or very interested in sports. Exercise in elementary school was okay but I dreaded physical education classes in junior and senior high school. New York State believed it was part of a student’s full rounded education. Unwillingly, I went to the locker room to change into my gym uniform and then into the gymnasium. It was not enjoyable. Yet, I did exercise.

Decades later, I began to see the need

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went to a solitary place, where He prayed." Mark 1:35

My daily practice has been to follow what Jesus modeled; rising early, in a darkened, quiet, nurturing relationship with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Solitude, in the union of holy presence, fills me with renewal and spiritual vigor.

I have discovered my days flow smoother in maintaining this habit, which has become my

What makes you a leader?
Is it your gift to teach, your gift to preach or the charismatic way that you present yourself?
Maybe it's your flashy business card, your awesome website or the fact that your videos have been seen on the internet so many times.
Is this what makes a true leader?
No, what makes a true leader is the heart to serve. Not serve oneself, but serve others.
I find that in my daily Christian walk, I've encountered more titles than leaders, this is a very sad st

God has entrusted us with his word and his Spirit to lead us all the way. The word and the Spirit are not separate components that function independently (Isa 59:21).

The Holy Spirit never puts the word aside; he makes full use of it. God can lead us in many ways, but his word is always the crucial guide and benchmark. If we think we can draw solely on the wind of the Holy Spirit, we are like a sailboat without a solid rudder.

Personal experiences, regardless of how specia

We are called to be mighty women of God. We are called to be mighty women of God. We call to be mighty women of God, say it with me. We are called to be my women of God. I don't care what you've been through. I don't care how bad your week is going I promise you you are called to be mighty.

We need women who will pray, who will fast, who will worship who are tired of waiting on everybody else to do it. Who will keep hammering in prayer. Hammering and fasting hammering and saying you're gettin

Competition: The Heart of A Man

Jesus himself affirmed his disciples when they expressed a desire to be first. He told them exactly how to do it. Shouldn't we conclude that even Jesus understood that some people simply get more excited when they have the ability to compete against other people? If we can introduce that dynamic back into faith somehow, won't we reach a lot of men who feel that Christianity is a good story but is lacking something?

Many Christians believe that pursuing our goals goes against certain Christian beliefs and counteracts whatever plan God has in store for us. On the contrary - Scriptures encourage us to pursue our goals and achieve success.

Consider these passages from the Bible:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

1 Chronicles 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless m

It says in Scripture that Jesus would wake up early in the morning and withdraw to a quiet place in order to pray. Jesus took time with God early in the morning, before the distractions of the day began. We must remove ourselves from the busyness of life and spent time in intimate communion with God.

When I first came to the Lord, the hardest thing for me to accept was love, because I didn't feel lovable as I grew closer to Christ. As I began to read his Word and for myself hear and see the examples in scripture. I realized I can be a hot mess and still be loved, and that was hard for me. It was hard for me because I didn't grow up thinking that. I really wanted to move back to california. Ihad a hard time and it was constant.

I met a lot of wonderful people, we found a Bible teaching chu

A lack of knowledge can be a small thing or a serious thing. It's one thing to try and ride a bike if you haven't done it before it's an entirely different thing to get behind the wheel of a car without knowing what you're doing, or at least without having a teacher by your side in the same way doing life without the knowledge that god's word provides, can be very dangerous we may be under grace, but that doesn't mean that there aren't very real consequences to sin in god's world. even sin commi
