Newt Gingrich, the winner in the Palmetto State's GOP primary, may have benefited from South Carolinians' uneasiness with Mitt Romney's Mormon faith.

Exit polls show that 43 percent of voters who said that the candidates' religious beliefs mattered "a great deal" went for Gingrich. Only 9 percent went for Romney -- a lower percentage than he netted overall, where he is running in second. In contrast, of voters who said the religious beliefs of candidates didn't matter to them at all, Romney

7936049287?profile=original"Do not misuse the name of the LORD your God, because the LORD will punish anyone who misuses His name" (Exodus 20:7, HCSB).

The oft-quoted and -memorized King James Version is even more familiar to most people I talk to: "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him

Do we have thankful hearts?

Self examination is an important part of the Christian life. The believer, being a child of God, should readily seek to know if our conduct, our conversation, our witness, our attitude, conform to the life of faith we are attempting to live. Keeping short accounts with Our Lord means contemplating the choices we make, the values we hold, the concerns and thoughts which hold us captive.
In the matter of thankfulness, we are all too often guilty of neglecting to discern the personal way in which

Michelle Obama has weighed in on the buzzy new book The Obamas by New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor. She isn't thrilled about the chatter it's generating about her alleged clashes with West Wing staff and dominance over the administration.

hcsp.jpgDirector George Lucas says it took 20 years to get his latest film made, "because it's an all-black movie".

Speaking on The Daily Show, Lucas said he had to self-fund Red Tails, the true story of a group of African-American pilots who fought in World War II.

He claimed major film studios would not back the movie because "there's no major white roles in it at all".
"I showed it to all of them and they said, 'No. We don't know how to market a movie like this,'" he said.
"They don't believe t
