Driven women have a strong sense of purpose
Women of strength know where they’re from and where they’re headed. This sense of purpose drives everything they do. For Christian women, their drive and ambition should be rooted in God’s will for their lives. His intentions guide our decisions.
When drive is mishandled, people become self-focused. Their ambition is used only to further their personal goals and dreams, and they forget about the ultimate, eternal purpose. It is vital to stay connected to the Lord through His Word and prayer, but when you do, you’ll find your ambition balanced by grace—both for yourself and others.
Driven women take action
Driven women are quick to put feet to their faith. They don’t wait to serve God in a later time; they start right here! This ability to make the most of present circumstances requires boldness and courage. Though some may deride ambitious women—believing their drive is “unfeminine”—ambition submitted to God brings Him glory.
We do not have God’s help to do things He did not call us to do. But when we walk according to His Spirit’s leading, we have all the power of God on our side. When our ambitions align with His, our actions guarantee His glory.
Driven women set God-defined goals
Strong women don’t set goals simply for self-gratification, though it IS gratifying to achieve goals. Strong, godly women set goals defined by the Lord. They start with His Word: What does He want for me, my life and my work? This translates into how we live our days.
