This may come as a stretch to some, but the nativity’s primary imagery, the “Madonna and Child” is actually worship of the “heavenly mother”, the goddess Cybele (also Semiramis and Tammuz). Don’t you find it odd that the United States Government wants God’s name out of the Pledge of Allegiance and other forms of law; but they happily celebrate Christmas, take Sunday’s off, and make a postage stamp for the “Madonna and Child”?
