The New York Knicks have agreed to trade 10-time All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources told ESPN on Saturday.
The Thunder will send center Enes Kanter, forward Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-round pick (via the Chicago Bulls) to New York, league sources said.
Anthony, 33, will waive his no-trade clause and his $8.1 million trade kicker to accommodate the deal, league sources told ESPN.

NBA superstar LeBron James posted a video to social media on Saturday calling for national unity while explaining that he called President Donald Trump a ‘bum’ earlier in the day because he was ‘using sports as a platform to divide us.’
‘I think it’s basically at a point where I’m a little frustrated because this guy that we’ve put in charge has tried to divide us once again,’ the Cavaliers star said.
‘Obviously, we all know what happened with Charlottesville and the divide that caused.
‘It has even hit more home for me now because he is now using sports as the platform to try to divide us.
‘We all know how much sports brings us together, how much passion it has, how much we love and care, the friendships and everything it creates.
Wading into thorny issues of race and politics, Trump’s comments in a Friday night speech and a series of Saturday tweets drew sharp responses from some of the nation’s top athletes, with LeBron James calling the president a “bum.” Hours later, Major League Baseball saw its first player take a knee during the national anthem.
Trump started by announcing that Curry, the popular two-time MVP for the Golden State Warriors, would not be welcome at the White House for the commemorative visit traditionally made by championship teams: “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!” Read More Here

“You’re hearing my life in 2016, play-by-play, and I went into some dark places,” Lecrae reflected when I asked him about his new album All Things Work Together during our conversation earlier this month. “I went into some very revealing things. Things that people will probably be shocked to hear me say that I experienced, but I became a better person through it, so I had to talk about it. That’s the whole idea of the album, All Things Work Together, is that the dark times work together for me to become the person that I am today. You need all those elements to create something good. People’s jaws will drop when they hear it.”
Balancing a burning social consciousness with disarming authenticity, Lecrae’s highly anticipated eighth studio album—his first for Columbia Records—delivers an electrifying jolt to the senses and expresses the genuine human emotion that’s sorely lacking in today’s formulaic world of hip-hop.
Today’s retail launch of the Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is a crucial test for Apple's riskiest iPhone strategy.
For the first time, Apple introduced its latest iPhone upgrades while simultaneously teasing something better coming soon — what, by Apple’s own admission, is “the future.”
Apple’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are, based on my review and what I’ve seen elsewhere on the web (and even in teardowns), “S” series devices in full-number-update clothing. Except for the glass back, the handsets maintain the iPhone 6 design introduced in 2014. Apple swapped out the A10 Fusion chip for the incredibly powerful A11 Bionic CPU, but left the screen and cameras largely unchanged.
I really like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, but the changes come directly from Apple’s "S" playbook.
Colin Kaepernick (Facebook)
While campaigning for Alabama Senate runoff candidate, President Donald Trump reportedly went on a tangent in which he referred to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as a “son of a b*tch.”
“‘Wouldn’t you like to see one of our NFL owners, when somebody disrespects the flag, say, ‘Get that son of a b*tch off the field,'” Trump reportedly said at the rally. Kaepernick is not currently employed by any NFL football teams, as he was not drafted after his controversial bended-knee protests during the National Anthem last year.
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…. Therefore honor God with your body.” 1 Cor. 6:19-20
It is well known that blacks live sicker and die younger than any other racial group. Look no farther than the church with the pastor battling hypertension and diabetes or the congregation with several obese members sitting in the pews. It would seem that the black church in America would be the leading ally supporting the nation’s first black president in the debate over access to affordable healthcare. It would seem that the black church would lead the way toward healthier eating and living.
Could it be that black church culture is leading us astray?
We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
I have been watching what is going on in america this year, and it is amazing! Last year was ridiculous, crazy and HOT..., but this year's issues seem to be the inability for all people everywhere to listen to each other, respect their views, and there is a lack of cooperation!

Google's $1.1 billion talent buyout means you should expect high-quality hardware products from the search giant.
It’s official: Google has agreed to acquire a select team of engineers from HTC’s smartphone division for $1.1 billion in an all-cash deal. Under the terms of the unusual arrangement, the search giant won’t get a direct stake in HTC — instead, it’ll gain “non-exclusive” licensing rights to HTC’s current and future intellectual property. The engineers are people who have already worked with Google to develop its Pixel smartphones, and they will soon become “fellow Googlers.”
On the day Colin Kaepernick said he still wants to play in the NFL, five-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady said the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is qualified to play and he hopes to see him back on the field.
Former New York Daily News reporter and Fair Punishment Project writer-in-residence Shaun King posted a picture of himself with Kaepernick just after 11 a.m. Sunday, and less than 30 minutes later, quote tweeted his post explaining that he had asked the free-agent quarterback whether he wanted to continue playing in the NFL.
“Yes,” Kaepernick said emphatically, according to King. “I’ve never stopped. I’m ready right now. Working out daily."
The great thing about social media is that it's a tool that gives all of us a voice on the current issues of the day. The terrible thing about social media is that it's a tool that gives all of us a voice on the current issues of the day.
It has gotten pretty bad. People have their opinions and aren't afraid to publish them online. While healthy debate is a great thing that should be encouraged, most of it has been very unhealthy. More like mean and nasty.

THINGS we found along the way
Rumors have been swirling for months about a T-Mobile/Sprint hookup, but things are getting very realistic, very fast. A new report from CNBC quotes sources who say that both sides are now entering due diligence, with a formal deal announcement expected for late October.
The deal will be all stock, and the exchange ratio will be "at market," according to CNBC's sources. Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile's owner, would become the majority shareholder after the merger.
