*Prince’s former guitarist Dez Dickerson is in disbelief over the autopsy report that revealed his longtime boss died of an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl.

“The Prince I’ve known and the Prince the folks that I’ve known in association with him over the years … drug overdose would not be something that we would even think of in a sentence with his name,” Dickerson told Fox News.

Police in the Minneapolis area are currently investigating a death at Prince’s famed Paisley Park compound, according to recent reports on local news.

Since reports of a death at the compound were first confirmed on Thursday morning,multiple sources emerged confirming that the iconic singer is the one who was found dead, and his publicist has confirmed to the Associated Press that the singer has passed away.

Prince‘s landmark album and film Purple Rain turned 30 this week, and the singer marked the occasion Saturday night with a late-night surprise concert at Paisley Park, featuring a very special guest: Purple Rain co-star Apollonia Kotero made her first ever visit to the estate.

According to Consequence of Sound, Kotero wrote about the experience on her Facebook page, in a post which now appears to have been removed.
