Heath McNease's "Jesus Shuttlesworth...The Mixtape" is out!

Mixtapes are one of the most important facets of hip hop culture and music in general. They allow emcees the opportunity to be more creative and less restrictive in the songwriting. I love when I get the opportunity to release a free mixtape, because it means I really get the opportunity to go crazy with my rhyming. And that's exactly what this project is! It's 21 tracks of ridiculous patterns, schemes, and concepts over some of my favorite beats of all time. I sincerely hope you guys can pick up this project and share it with everyone you know on facebook, twitter, email, phone call, etc. The

4798Illegal steroids and a bloody cricket bat were reportedly found in the South African home where so-called "Bladerunner" Oscar Pistorius allegedly gunned down his model girlfriend.

Nov. 4, 2012: In this photo, South African Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp, believed to be his girlfriend, at an awards ceremony, in Johannesburg, South Africa. (AP)
The  paralympic athlete will be tested for the banned drug, possibly in anticipation of a possible defense claim that Pistorius acted in "roid rage."
"Steroid drugs were found at Pistorius's home together with evidence of heavy drinking," a source told The Sun. "That's why police have specifically ordered that he be tested for steroids."
It's not yet known whose blood was on the cricket bat, according to South Africa's City Press. Investigators believe Pistorius may have bash Steenkamp with the bat, or she may have used it to defend herself, according to the paper.
"There was lots of blood on the bat," a source is quoted as saying. "Forensic tests will show whose blood it was."
Pistorius, 26, is accused of murdering Reena Steenkamp, 29, on the morning of Valentine's Day. The athlete, who was born without fibulas and was outfitted with carbon-fiber running blades to compete as a sprinter, will appear in court on Tuesday.
Steenkamp, 29, was declared dead shortly after 3 am on Thursday morning at Pistorius' home in a gated compound outside Pretoria. She had been shot in the head, hand, hip and arm, and her skull was reportedly fractured. Pistorius, 26, was arrested immediately, and claimed that he mistook Steenkamp for a burglar.
Police said Steenkamp was shot four times at Pistorius' villa in a gated community. Officers found a 9 mm pistol inside the home.
Steenkamp will be buried tomorrow, even as Pistorius is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing.
Prosecutor Gerrie Nel on Friday claimed the shooting was premeditated murder.

Scroll down to hear Kandi & Marvin sing 'Stay Prayed Up'
Until the latest episode of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) Kandi Burruss had been relatively low key during season 5.
As she concentrates on a new relationship with her fiance' Todd Tucker and decorating her new home, Burruss hasn't had time to get caught up in the never-ending drama between the "talls and smalls" that seems to be the focus of the program.   But, her manager, Don Juan, noticed her career has been lagging as she puts all of her energy toward her personal life.
Agreeing that she need to re-focus, the 36-year-old singer/songwriter/producer went back to the studio and unexpectedly laid tracks for a ... gospel record!  Don Juan was  understandably taken aback when his client said she wanted to add a gospel song to her next CD.   Although Burruss has been successful making hits for her self and others and has dabbled in other genres (Country and House for instance), the R&B singer's desire to do a gospel album comes as a surprise because Kandi, a single mom,  is known for speaking candidly about sex. More importantly, she owns a sex toy line ("Bedroom Kandi") and hosts a sexually oriented web show ("Kandi Koated Knights"), two factors that are not typical of an artist that sings about/for the Lord.
Apparently, Burruss is looking to make another hit.   The song, entitled "Prayed Up," features platinum- selling gospel artist Marvin Sapp.  He sings and preaches the gospel.  She sings and sells sex toys. Online comments suggest this collaboration struck a bad chord with the majority of viewers.

Saturday Night Live aired a violent and gory segment mocking Jesus Christ just four days into Lent.
The segment was a fake movie trailer depicting a Quentin Tarantino-style Jesus returning to get revenge. It's called, "Djesus Uncrossed."
"Critics are calling it a less violent 'Passion of the Christ,'" the announcer said. "I never knew how much Jesus used the N-word."
The trailer featured Jesus and the Apostles gunning down scores of Romans. At one point the Jesus character slices a man's head in half.
Critics find it interesting how the Mainstream Media always mocks and ridicules Christianity but gives other religions a pass?
And some viewers wondered why the writers at Saturday Night Live are writing weekly skits about Islam -- or the Prophet Mohammed?

beautiful-creatures-movie-REVIEW.jpg

Release Date: February 14, 2013
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Romance
Run Time: 124 minutes
Director: Richard LaGravenese
Cast: Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Jeremy Irons
"I just LOVED it," gushed the woman next to me as credits rolled. Really? Had I not been required to write this review I would have walked out an hour earlier. Guess there's no accounting for taste. Beautiful Creatures is a Southern Gothic teen romance... or a coming of age story... or a film about destiny vs. personal choice... or a statement about how closed-minded and hateful Christians are... or maybe just an old-fashioned tale of sort-of-good vs. definitely evil. It's hard to tell because the film can't seem to make up its mind.
On one level, it's a cute, funny, teen romance about a boy with aspirations outside the city limits of his small town and the new girl (with a dark secret) he falls for. Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich) is a lifetime resident of Gatlin, South Carolina. He's a popular kid with a taste for reading banned books who considers the library his 'church,' saying his mother took him there "to celebrate what's holy: books." Ethan's had trouble sleeping lately; he has a recurring dream about a dark-haired beauty on a Civil War battlefield, but whenever he gets too close to her, his dream self dies.
Imagine Ethan's surprise when the literal girl of his dream shows up in class--only to be immediately harassed by the "Christian" girls because everyone knows her family worships the devil. Ethan's not that easily put off, plus he's bored, so he falls for Lena (Alice Englert), even after learning she's a teenaged witch--although, she tells him, "We prefer the term 'caster.'" Whatever. Lena is fast approaching her sixteenth birthday, when in a kind of supernatural bat mitzvah she'll find out if she's going be good or evil. Apparently male casters can choose their destiny while females must wait to be chosen (does anyone else find that remotely sexist?).
Naturally, this budding romance is a problem. Lena's uncle (Jeremy Irons, The Words) sees Ethan as a distraction to his efforts to keep Lena "good." Her mother Serafine (Emma Thompson, Nanny McPhee Returns) and Cousin Ridley (Emmy Rossum) have already gone over to the dark side and want Lena to join them there to put an end to humans once and for all.
At this point things get a little boring; does anyone really think this story is going to end in an apocalypse? It doesn't help that the more heated the romance gets, the less believable it becomes. In the first flush of romance Ethan and Lena were cute, funny, and sweet together. But when it came time for passionate (in a PG-13 kind of way) make-out scenes it felt more like they were kissing only because the director ordered them to, with ears straining to hear "Cut!" Then the story veered oddly off into a National Treasure-esque direction...

a-good-day-to-die-hard-movie-REVIEW.jpg

Release Date: February 14, 2013
Rating: R (strong violence and language)
Genre: Action/Thriller
Run Time: 97 min.
Director: John Moore
Cast: Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Yuliya Snigir
In 2010's surprise hit Red, which will be getting a sequel later this summer, Bruce Willis (Looper), along with the clever likes of John Malkovich (Warm Bodies), Helen Mirren (Hitchcock) and Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Rises) clearly had fun playing action heroes of a certain age.
And because the audience was in on the joke--even the title itself was an acronym for "Retired and Extremely Dangerous"--it was a pretty good time at the movies because the leads were allowed to act their age while convincingly--and comically--showing the bad guys who's boss.
Unfortunately, the same simply doesn't hold true for the latest installment of the Die Hard franchise. Not only is the script for A Good Day to Die Hard nothing short of underwhelming (anytime the story lags, it's basically "insert campy one-liner here"), but Willis is a little like Mick Jagger back when the Rolling Stones played the halftime show at the Super Bowl. One can't help applauding Willis for trying to relive his glory days, but they're clearly long, long behind him like Mick and his geriatric wiggle during "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."
Looking every one of his nearly 57 years, Willis's famed John McClane is once again in the wrong place at the wrong time when he travels to Russia. Joking that it's his "vacation," he heads to Moscow in hopes of bailing out his perpetually wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney, Jack Reacher). Given their rather tumultuous and strained relationship over the years, Jack is more than a little surprised when the man he calls "John" rather than "dad" randomly shows up.
As it turns out, Jack's recent shenanigans weren't just another random burst of rebellion. As a CIA operative in charge of containing a nuclear weapons heist in progress, he was just doing his job. Trouble is, Jack's not exactly having the easiest job fulfilling the mission with serious global implications. So naturally, that's where John comes in. Smelling the proverbial rat from the very start of the operation, he provides Jack with some very valuable assistance, even if Jack just wishes he'd get out of the way.
With an opportunity to bond through what John knows best--killing the bad guys by any means possible--Jack can't help but appreciate how his dad "has his back." And while family bonding is always nice, particularly in action movies which are typically light on life lessons, the bulk of A Good Day to Die Hard is nothing but elaborately staged, nonsensical action sequences that don't have any of the "yippee ki-yay" of previous efforts. Worse yet, suspending your disbelief, a must for anything in the action genre anyway, has been taken to an entirely new level with nothing that happens here sharing any remote aspects with reality. Let's just say there's plenty of opportunities for totally unintended laughter.

salli-richardson-whitfield-PASTOR-BROWN.jpg
It may have taken four years, but Salli Richardson-Whitfield believes her new inspirational television movie, "Pastor Brown," is worth the wait.
The actress couldn't contain her excitement when sharing news of the Lifetime movie's airing with EUR's Lee Bailey. According to Richardson-Whitfield, the project's delay stemmed from "some issues with one of the producers." Despite the setback, the entertainer is "very happy" with "Pastor Brown" finally seeing the light of day.
"I put a lot of my heart in to this film and I'm happy that a lot of people are gonna finally get to see it," she said.
Originally slated for a 2009 release, "Pastor Brown" centers on Jessica "Jesse" Brown (Richardson-Whitfield), a wayward preacher's daughter who returns home to take over as pastor of the family church after her father's (Keith David) death and is forced to face her sordid past and mend fences with her son (Michael B. Jordan) and sister (Nicole Ari Parker).
Others featured in the Rockmond Dunbar-directed vehicle include Tisha Campbell-Martin, Amir Rahim, Ernie Hudson, Tasha Smith, Michael Beach and Dunbar himself.
Although she plays one person, Richardson-Whitfield's role embodies two different mind states by playing a woman who transformed from a stripper to a church pastor. Dual personalities aside, Richardson-Whitfield had no trouble getting into character in light of her growing up in a Baptist church.
"This was not a foreign subject for me as far as once we got into the church stuff. I know what that is," she stated. "I know what it's like to watch all those preachers preaching and what sort of that rhythm is, especially in the Black church like that. I know about the women who are the "church women" who are supposed to be living by the Bible and being very Christian but sometimes aren't necessarily like that. And then you also have the good people."
As for getting into stripper mode, luck was on Richardson-Whitfield's side as "Pastor Brown" came along as the acting veteran just began taking Sheila Kelly's S Factor pole dancing classes.
"I had literally been taking them for a few months. So I was like 'great' and we were about to do this," Richardson-Whitfield recalled. "I found actually a stripper to work with me even harder. And so I was prepared for that too. So it just kind of came at a perfect time for me."

Christian Living: Marching On to War!

7936052853?profile=originalMarching On to War!
by  Alan Allegra

In a rare moment of internet fever, I researched how many wars there have been in human history. Answers ranged from dozens to thousands, depending on many criteria. I suppose we could consider the conflict between Cain and Abel the first human war, unusual in that it was extremely short, one side was completely destroyed, and the other side suffered no losses.

The month of March was named after the Roman God Mars, the god of war. Originally, Mars was a god of spring, fertility, and growth, then became the god of death and war. I'd say that's a backwards career move.

One of his names was Mars Gradivus, "he who precedes the army in battle." March was the start of the campaign season, and the Tubilustrium, held on March 23, was a ceremony to make the army fit for war. I hope your visions of March haven't changed from blossoms to bloodshed!

Most of us would rather avoid war, and most of us probably have. Or we think we have!

I recently read a novel about spiritual warfare. It was graphic and sensational, but soberly true to life. It was about a town being taken over by Satan. The novelist gave two perspectives, the human and the angelic. Behind the depraved and decadent activities of the townspeople was the unseen battle between good angels and demons in the spiritual realm. Skeptics might belittle such talk, but the Bible bolsters that stark scenario.

We cannot count the human wars but we know when they start and end. However, one war exists that began with human history and has not yet ended. Like it or not, we are unwilling participants if we are followers of Jesus Christ.

Similar to the war on terror, it's impossible to visually identify our enemy. "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:34). In the novel, one pastor recognized the fingerprints of the unseen enemy and was able to deploy spiritual weapons to win the battle. Effective equipment is always at our disposal, provided by the heavenly supply sergeant, who sees the entire battlefront.

Ephesians chapter 6 is the Christian soldier's manual for engaging in spiritual warfare. It enumerates the equipment we need, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).

Furthermore, our God precedes us in battle: "The LORD your God who goes before you will himself fight for you" (Deuteronomy 1:30). Therefore, we know the expiration of the conflict is sure: "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, [Jesus] made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross" (Colossians 2:15). "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever" (Revelation 20:10).

Finally, an effective army must continually be fit for war: "Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work" (2 Timothy 2:21). "Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him" (2 Timothy 2:34).

Are you fit to fight or ready to retreat?

I have done everything I know and I believe that I have a right standing with God, yet I have not received my desire. How exactly do I act on God's word of faith? Acting on the Lord's words is a proof of your faith in God and it always delivers. Many people believe but lack the corresponding actions. This article is to give you an insight on how to act on the word in order to obtain results.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does - James 1:22,25 (NKJV)

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever-increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit - 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP).

For your faith to obtain results, it MUST be followed by appropriate corresponding actions. Faith without works is dead, just as the body without the spirit is dead, (James 2:26).

The question is what kind of works must you do to prove that you believe God and His word?

I will use examples to answer that question. But first let's lay the foundation.

You act on the word of faith you have believed in your heart, not mental assent.

The first thing is to discover what God is saying to you concerning that issue. It can be through God's word (scriptures) or by listening for His leading, which MUST agree with the scriptures. Then, you must meditate on it until it goes beyond your head to your heart for you to believe it beyond any reasonable doubt. This heart-rooted word is what you will act on.

Your prayer-life must be solid because that is one major way whereby you are certain of the actions to take.

Prayer is a two-way communication channel: you speak to God and you listen also to hear what He has to say. As you communicate with God, the Holy Spirit will lay in your heart what corresponding actions to take in order to see the word, you have received, come to pass.

Faith is all about obeying God's instructions as commanded

Obedience is the trigger for obtaining your desired results. Prompt obedience yields faster results and it has to be done as commanded.

A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)

Now, it's time to plan how to act on the word of faith received: plan steps to realize God's word in your life. But before any execution, you need to consult God to be sure that you are on the right track.

Wisdom is profitable to direct. Ecclesiastes 10:10 (KJV)

That somebody did something and it worked for him doesn't mean it is the right corresponding action for you too. Engage the wisdom of God to direct you.

Having laid the above foundation, let's look at how to act on the Word of faith:

First, the God's word to you concerning that issue must be consistently before you. You must not cease beholding it. Anytime you look away from it, doubt or unbelief will set in. Remember Peter, as long as he was looking unto Jesus and was acting on the word "come", he walked on the sea. But immediately he turned to look at the boisterous wind, he began to sink, Matthew 14:26-31.

Has God said it? He will certainly do it. Constantly remind yourself, God and the devil what that word says. Like Abraham, be persuaded that God is able to perform what He had promised,Romans 4:21. Also, you need to war with the word in prayers. You don't watch prophecies, you war with them, 1 Timothy 1:18, to see them fulfilled.

Secondly, if you believe that God has heard you and so has answered you, then you need to act as one who has obtained results. Like Hannah (1 Samuel 1:18), your countenance must be joyful; your words, thoughts and actions must show it. It should be so even when nobody is looking. This proves that you actually believe.

God told the Israelites that He had given them Sihon, king of Hesbon and his land, but they were to contend with him in battle in order to physically possess his land, Deuteronomy 2:24. They wouldn't have possessed it if they sat back believing only that the land was theirs.

Also, Paul and Silas believed in God's ability to deliver them from their enemies and they followed it up with prayer and praises, and the gates were opened and their chains were loosed, Acts 16:25-26. Again, Jesus was declared the savior of the world, but He had to die on the cross for it to be actualized.

Therefore, if God had said he would prosper you financially, you must go out and find something doing to give God a channel to bless you. He can only prosper what you do, Psalm 1:3. And if God said you will excel academically then, you study very well, knowing that your efforts will be crowned with flying colours.

And if you believe God for a husband or wife, then you prepare yourself spiritually, mentally, emotionally for the kind of person you desire. This is because birds of the same feather flock together. You keep away from childish things and act like a matured person ready to take up family responsibilities.

Do you believe God for children? Let your home be ready to welcome them and be very expectant for it could be this month. Is it a job? Every morning, dress up as someone going to work and go to companies and expect them to offer you the job. And so on. And if you want to enjoy total health, then you must truly serve God with all your heart. This is because if you serve Him, He will take sickness and diseases away from your midst, Exodus 23:25.

In all, listen for God's instructions on what to do and remember never to let go of His promise to you, no matter how long it takes. Like Job, hold on till your change come, Job 14:14. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry, Habakkuk 2:3.

The US is one the most important markets for smartphone manufacturers. Consumers in America can make or break the success of a new smartphone model, due to the fact that the country has a very large population, with higher levels of disposable income than many other countries and widespread availability of such products.

Because of these factors, it always makes for interesting reading when new data is released about its sales figures of smartphones, and the satisfaction levels of consumers in the United States. Mobile research firm OnDevice has recently released the results of a new study, the results of which can be viewed over at Android Authority.

The data shows the results of a survey carried out among just under 93,000 smartphone users in the U.S. For years, California based technology giant Apple has enjoyed impressive levels of commercial success, but the results of this recent study showed that its more recent products seem to be falling out of favour among American consumers. The iPhone 5, which was launched back in September 2012 has had its fair share of bad press after a number of problems were reported with some of the phone’s features, which may have contributed to the latest instalment of Apple’s iconic smartphones series placing fifth on the survey of customer satisfaction. Visit our website for the latest news and info on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and compare Samsung Galaxy Note 2 offers from UK networks.

The iPhone 5 was beaten by handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, one of the most impressive and popular devices from the South Korea based manufacturer which is Apple’s arch rival in the consumer technology industry. Other handsets which placed a ahead of the iPhone 5 include the Motorola Atrix HD, Motorola Droid RAZR M and HTC Rezound 4G, all of which are U.S. exclusive handsets.

The results of this survey are of course good news for Samsung, which is steadily increasing its lead over Apple as the number one smartphone manufacturer in the world.

Olympic and Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius was charged with murder Thursday after his girlfriend was shot dead at his South African home.
South African Police spokeswoman Denise Beukes said that Pistorius, 26, and the victim were the only people present when the shooting took place. The woman had been shot at least twice, police said.
Pistorius will appear for a court hearing on Friday at 9am local time, the South African prosecutor's office confirmed.
Numerous media outlets reported that the sprinter -- who is nicknamed "Blade Runner" because he races wearing carbon fiber prosthetic blades -- may have mistaken the woman for an intruder.
Beukes would not confirm the victim's identity, but said investigators were "very surprised" to hear media reports that the shooting was possibly a case of mistaken identity.
A publicist for Reeva Steenkamp, a model whom Pistorius was dating, confirmed to NBC's TODAY that her client was dead. She described the incident as a "huge loss for everyone and too shocking for words."
Beukes said there were no signs of forced entry to the home and said that police would oppose any application Pistorius might make to be released on bail.
Beukes said there had been reports about previous problems at Pistorius' home that were "allegations of a domestic nature." When a reporter asked if she meant domestic violence, she nodded and said yes.
"There are witnesses and we have interviewed them," she added. "We're talking about neighbors and people who heard things earlier in the evening and when the shooting took place."
The Associated Press reported that a 9mm handgun had been found at his home in theluxurious Silver Woods gated community.
Sarit Tomlinson, who is Steenkamp's publicist, told Britains' Sky News that the the pair had been together for a couple months.
"She was a rising star ... a very bright young girl," Tomlinson said. She noted that "no one knows what happened" but said "we are in communication with the people on the scene."
The Silver Woods Country Estate released a statement on its website early Thursday: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic circumstances that occurred today at Silver Woods. Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Reeva Steenkamp's family and friends."
Steenkamp, a 30-year-old law school graduate, gushed about Valentine's Day on Twitter Wednesday, posting "What do you have up your sleeve for your love tomorrow???" and "It should be a day of love for everyone."
Pistorius was born without a fibula in both legs and battled for years to be allowed to compete against able-bodied athletes.
