Patti Jenkins's Wonder Woman has already broken records, with its $103.1 million opening weekend marking the best North American debut for a female director to date, and its $781 million global box office takings making it the most profitable female-directed film ever.

Now, however, the critically acclaimed comic book adaptation, which stars Gal Gadot as the titular Amazonian warrior, is setting its sights on another first: namely, becoming the first superhero movie to win an Academy Award for Best Picture.

Bolstered by the film's overwhelmingly positive reviews, and perhaps by its undeniably weighty, Oscar-worthy subject matter (the inevitability of war vs the human instinct for compassion, for instance), the studio behind the movie, Warner Bros, is now considering funding a "formidable" Best Picture nomination campaign, as well as a Best Director campaign for  Jenkins.

September is looking like a great month for retro game enthusiasts. Nintendo is already set to unleash the SNES Classic Edition at the end of the month. Now, AtGames is going to sweeten things up by releasing the Atari and Sega Genesis Flashback consoles on September 22. Three retro consoles in the span of a week? That’s what I call heaven!

The Atari Flashback 8 Gold and Sega Genesis Flashback will cost $80 each and come preloaded with a wide variety of games from each of the respective systems. The Atari Flashback will have 120 titles, while the Sega Genesis Flashback comes with 85. Each machine supports 720p HDMI output. They include two wireless controllers and ports for wired controllers. Also, the systems will allow users to save, pause, and rewind. Considering how tough some of these old games can be, this is a great feature.

New Breed —consisting of brother and sister duo Rosario "Macho" Ortega and Elsie Vanclief— shocked the world with their brilliant premiere album, Stop The Music, belting out such trademark hits as the Latin salute, "My People" and the club banger, "Verse of The City" Defying odds, New Breed now drops a second set, Nine, that raises the bar even higher.

These Boston natives emerged on the scene over a fifteen years ago and have remarkably exhaled another collection of incredible music. Bucking that disappointing artistic trend of releasing weak second projects which pale in comparison to debut records.

Cut after cut bears infectious grooves, relevant lyrics, and scorching hot production that will have hip hop fans craving for more.
