Though goddess braids can be created with your own natural hair, you may want to add hair extensions if the length of your hair is short or you want thicker and longer braids. Make sure to use a wide-toothed comb and keep hair sectioning pins handy. Here’s how to create it:

1.Condition your hair thoroughly before braiding it and use a wide-toothed comb to detangle.

2.Using a rat tail comb, part your hairs according to the number of braids you’d like to create. Make sure to clip the remaining section aside (which you are won’t use for braiding) with the sectioning pins.

3.Pick a small section of your hair (it can be a big section depending on how thick you want your braid to be) and start braiding it. Add in the extensions as your braid to give your goddess braid a full long look.

4.Dip the end of the braid in boiling water to tightly seal it.

5.Repeat the process in each of the remaining sections to complete the style.

Goddess Braids Style Options

1.Straight back Goddess braids

As mentioned above, there are multiple ways to style goddess braids, if it is the first time you’re creating this hairstyle, go for straight back goddess braids. It is super simple and can suit almost any look and occasion. Straight goddess braids are nothing but a relatively thicker version of typical cornrows. Add golden beads to add some sparkle to your style.

2.Coiled Spiral

Create one large braid and loop it all round your scalp to get a coiled spiral look. Aside from looking stunning on you, this hairstyle can be super comfortable during your working hours. In fact, if you apply mousse in your hair and hair spray the coiled spiral, you can expect this hairstyle to last for weeks with no flyaways.

3.Cornrows and Goddess braid Blend

Mix in small cornrows with your goddess braids for an even more exciting look. Not only is the end result fabulous, it’s fairly easy to do. Follow the above-listed steps and add thin cornrows in the middle. That’s it!

So are you ready to style your goddess braids? Follow these tips to get a goddess look. Don’t forget to add extensions onto your hair if you want long braids. All the best!
