Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors Slay One Giant, but Another Awaits
Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors took the Milwaukee Bucks' wildly successful system offline for a fourth straight time Saturday, earning the first trip to the NBA Finals in franchise history behind a 100-94 win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Scotiabank Arena.
Now, having bested an opponent who dominated the league for a year, the Raptors are set to face one with a stranglehold on a half-decade. The Golden State Warriors await.
Earning the chance to dethrone the champs was difficult, even if Toronto closed its series against the Bucks in decisive fashion, serving four straight defeats to a Milwaukee team that hadn't lost three in a row at any point all year.
When Trainspotting author and former heroin junkie Irvine Welsh tweeted me to say I was a ‘moron’ for saying Game of Thrones was ‘over-hyped garbage’ without ever watching it, I decided to watch some of it, just to see if my instinct was wrong. So last night, I downloaded the finale, fast-forwarded through it for a bit, and then hit ‘PLAY’. It was everything I had assumed it would be, only even worse.
Christian comedian John Crist took a slight departure from his regular comedic skits to release a new song and video that is currently No. 2 on the iTunes Christian charts.
His catchphrase “Check Your Heart” has become a movement on social media and he has now capitalized on it with his song, “Check Your Heart,” featuring 1KPhew, Nobigdyl. and DJ Mykael V.
“They do it in the dark so you never know/ you should check your heart with a stethoscope/ Why you trolling? Check your heart/ stop that strolling check your heart/ take control and check your heart/ make it known and check your heart,” the song’s chorus says.
Dusty Marshall's new single, Art of the Enemy is hip hop infused with a pop twist. This track speaks on the artists downward spiral into isolation and sin, the results of neglecting his relationship with God and his own family in pursuit of his dreams as an artist.

After spending the last few years feelin' like a G, Raging Moses is back with a brand new single which sets aside the chest pounding defiance of his earlier joint and substitutes it with a compassioned and measured style.
Good Life is out now on Illect Recordings.

Former President Barack Obama wants to beat the book sales of his wife Michelle’s bestselling memoir when he publishes his own and even dings her for using a ghostwriter, according to a new report.
Obama, who has already written two memoirs, is trying to finish his third, which will reportedly cover his political career from 2004 to the present. Following the smashing success of Michelle Obama’s Becoming, which has sold more than 10 million copies and could wind up the bestselling political memoir ever, Obama is feeling pressure to beat her, The Atlantic reports:
A medical professional who attempted to offer a Bible to a cancer patient was “rightly sacked” from her job, a court has heard.
British nurse Sarah Kuteh was fired from Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent back in 2016 for talking to several patients about her faith in Jesus and even choosing to hand out Bibles.
According to the original complaint, after a patient stated that they were “open-minded” about religion, Kuteh quickly explained that “the only way he could get to the Lord was through Jesus.”
Those in the underground know Japhia and hail his first mixtape, Pages of Life: Chapter One, as a classic often compared to Illmatic from Nas. With his newest release, Westside Pharmacy, Japhia finds himself ready to be discovered by the masses. He's a Christian and doesn't hide from his beliefs (Japhia states "I saw the light when I was 17, man, that's the flyest thing I've ever seen. I've been a Christian in Christian Dior, ducking the triple six in Seven jeans" in "Lifey's Revenge"), but isn't looking to be called a "Christian rapper" or even to be closely associated with CHH.
Game of Thrones ended Sunday night after eight seasons. It was broadcast in 207 countries and territories and was one of the most popular series on television.
Because of its pornographic sexual content and extreme violence, I did not watch the show. But I believe culture-changing Christians can learn something important from it.
Taelor Gray - Jacob and Judas
Jacob and Judas, a Taelor Gray project executive produced by Christon dropped exclusively through Pledge Music with limited time to purchase in 2017. Well now everyone can bump it!
“Executive produced by his brother, Christon Gray, the album will be upgraded version of the sound fans have come to love, while exploring a deeper level of vulnerability concerning family, friendships, marriage, the church and the music industry,”
