Technically, Tim Tebow still has a job with the New York Jets, but we all know what's going to happen at some point this offseason. He's going to be released.
And the only reason he's going to be released is because the Jets can't find a trade partner to take him off their hands.
And the only reason the Jets can't find a trade partner to take Tebow off their hands is because he is not a very good quarterback (and that's being nice).
So, is it time for Tebow to give up on the NFL since not one team -- not even his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars -- has interest in his services? It just might be -- at least for a little while.
The Arena Football League awaits, my friend.
That's not a punch line, either. There's an Arena team that's ready to sign Tebow yesterday.
"Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we'd love to have him," Orlando Predators owner Brett Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel. "I think he would definitely improve as a quarterback in our league.
"Kurt Warner told me once that when he got back to the NFL after playing in the Arena League, the NFL game was like slow motion. Everything in the Arena League is just so much faster and quicker and predicated on accuracy. Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign."
