New Film to Focus on the Friendship of British Authors, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis

British fantasy literature has two towering figures: J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, and C.S. Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia. The two were longtime friends, and now their relationship will be the subject of a new movie: Tolkien & Lewis, an $18 million drama, will be produced by UK-based production outfit Attractive Films and directed by Simon West, known for The Expendables 2, Con Air, and a certain Rick Astley music video.

Martin Freeman has revealed that he turned to higher powers as he did some of the stunts in The Hobbit sequel.
The Sherlock star, who has reprised his role as Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's next instalment, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, spent a week tumbling down a fast-flowing river in barrels.

"LEGO The Hobbit" is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2014. (The Brick Fan)
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and LEGO have announced a new video game is coming to the popular LEGO game franchise next year. The game will be called LEGO The Hobbit and will put players into the big feet of Bilbo Baggins and his friends. The exact launch date for the game in 2014 is unannounced at this time.

First Look At 'The Hobbit'

Ready to head back to the Shire?
After a number of delays, Peter Jackson's prequel to the Oscar-winning "Lord of the Rings" trilogy is shooting in New Zealand, and some of the first looks at the characters in action have been made available. 

 

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we see Ian McKellan back as Gandalf, looking very wise and pensive. Perhaps he's getting ready to lead Bilbo Baggins, played by "Sherlock Holmes" and "The Office" star Martin Freeman, to the Lonely Mountain.
