When the world spins out of control and we feel helpless, may we remind ourselves of the faithfulness of our Lord. His love holds, wraps, and draws us within the safety of his passion and care for each one. Never lose hope as the sun shines after the storm and our Lord's life breathe new beginnings.

You know if we go back to Acts Chapter 16: here's where we see you know Paul takes Timothy under his wing in Acts. Chapter 16,

And then later in Acts, Chapter 16, we're going to see Paul and Silas are actually going to go to jail, so paul and silas were wrongfully accused. They were there preaching the word to Roman citizens. Gentiles were giving their hearts to the Lord. They were Receiving Christ as their Lord and savior, and because of this they were giving up all these false idols. So the

Busy, busy, busy!

Sometimes we might feel like we’re circus stars doing a balancing act.

Do you have the balance, flexibility and strength needed to keep from falling?

Maybe you’ve seen gymnasts on balance beams or parallel bars.

Easy does it (but it’s far from easy).

I speak from personal experience.

I was using the parallel bars in gym class. Never the athlete, I sprained my back. If graded on balance, I failed miserably. To make things worse, the accident happened

“What does the crown look like with which you adorn your husband? Does it look tarnished and strange because many jewels are missing? Or is it filled with precious gems? What are some of the gems that will make your husband proud to wear you as his crown? Is your crown decorated with diamonds of devotion, dedication, dignity and diligence that will delight his soul? Have you set in sapphires that will shine and sparkle with a serving, sacrificial and submissive spirit? Are you sweet to him? Are

So let's go ahead and pick up in verse three. It says this in verse three,

3 Just as I urged you [b]upon my departure for Macedonia, to remain on at Ephesus so that you would instruct certain people not to teach strange doctrines, 4 nor to [c]pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to useless speculation rather than advance [d]the plan of God, which is by faith, so I urge you now. 5 But the goal of our [e]instruction is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience,

“A virtuous woman adds distinction and dignity to her husband. He is proud to wear her. He wants to show her off. He praises her before others. When she honors him as king of her home, he will rise to kingly heights in his manhood. When she awards him ‘first rank’ he becomes free to reach his full potential and is inspired to do things he never thought possible. He will treat his wife like a Queen with dignity and respect. Have you crowned your husband? The more richly you crown him the more

One of the things that really excites me about 1 Timithy in the Bible
is that Paul is writing a letter to Timothy and, in this letter, he's really given some instructions of what does it look like to have godly character right? What does godly character for a leader really look like, and another thing that I really like about this book, is that I also think that paul does a really good job of connecting these godly characteristics with the gospel message and really pointing out and showing us th

Almost every man believes in one thing or personality or the other. No matter what, you have faith in someone or something. You can convince that you don't believe in anything or anyone and I will agree with you if you do not have a handset (mobile phone) or you do not ride any vehicle.

Whatever might be the brand of the mobile phone or vehicle that you ride, you believe in the product that it will work for you. You have faith in it. Do you know that it is possible for

Daily Devotional: NEVER FEAR

by Dudley Anderson

Psalm 56:3
But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.

One summer night during a severe thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small son into bed. She was about to turn the light off when he asked in a trembling voice, "Mommy, will you please sleep in my room with me all night?" Smiling, the mother gave him a warm hug and said, "I can't dear. I have to sleep in Daddy's room." After a long silence, a shaky little voice said, "The big sissy!"

Fears and phobias are some

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women, “You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.  (1 Kings 11:1-2c ESV)

In the previous chapter, we see Solomon in all his splendor and wisdom, yet we see foreign women enticing his heart in this chapter.  The result would be

“It should come as no huge surprise that the secular world is confused and off-base about the identity and calling of women. But what I find distressing is the extent to which (this) has taken hold even within the evangelical world. We see the fruit of that revolution as prominent Christian speakers, authors, and leaders promote an agenda, whether subtly or overtly, that encourages women to define and discover their worth in the workplace, in society, or at church, while minimizing (or even
