Nathaniel “Nat” Turner was a slave who led a slave rebellion in Virginia on August 21, 1831, he gathered free and enslaved supporters in Southampton County, Virginia.
Turner’s rebellion resulted in 60 white people killed. The response from white people was at least 200 black deaths.
Nat Turner was on the run for 2 months, until he was captured October 30, 1831.
