What Are You Doing For God?

As Christians and people alike, we all know God exists. He has always been and he always will be. We also know that he is our provider and our sustainer in this life, if we will allow him to.

In this hectic world in which we live many times we find ourselves looking heavenward and saying, "There is never enough time in the day", as we run around from place to place forgetting the most important person in our livesthe God who gave us life.

As my title asks, What are you doing for God? Have you ever asked yourself the same question? When Jesus was here on earth he had alot to say about our relationship with his Father and what it meant to "count the cost" in following him.

Whether we are a believer or not, there is coming a day when we"ll be judged for the things we did here on earth. Christ payed the price for our redemption and if we have accepted his sacrifice than we will be saved but we are still responsible for taking our relationship with him to the next level.

The world is in dire need of a loving "Savior" and we who call upon his name are the ones who are commissioned to preach the gospel in every nation. He called the disciples to preach and he is calling us as well. But life has a way of keeping us so busy with its affairs, we find ourselves focusing only on our agenda's and not on what we know should be the focal point in our lives.

Family, friends and our jobs are important but they will not ensure us eternal life. Only Christ can make that a reality. Therefore, he must have the preeminence in our lives. If he doesn't, than we need to take inventory of how we are living from day to day. What priorities are more important and what changes we can make to ensure we are living the way He would have us to live?

For after all, did not the Creator of the universe give us eternal life, through his Son? If we will choose to accept his free gift and do as he commands, than we will find ourselves living a life well pleasing to him. And there will be no further need to wonder if everything you did here on earth was enough, because you have done what the Master has required.
