Mike McCarthy became the second NFL coach to be dismissed this season after the Packers parted ways with him on Sunday night.

The Green Bay Packers made the drastic move many were growing to expect this season.

Coach Mike McCarthy was fired by the franchise on Sunday night after a 20-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, ending his nearly 13-year tenure that included a Super Bowl victory.

Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will take over as interim coach of the 4-7-1 Packers.

“The 2018 season has not lived up to the expectations and standards of the Green Bay Packers. As a result, I made the difficult decision to relieve Mike McCarthy of his role as head coach, effective immediately,” Packers president and CEO Mike Murphy said. “Mike has been a terrific head coach and leader of the Packers for 13 seasons, during which time we experienced a great deal of success on and off the field.

Independently released singles, 12 inch vinyl and 'Blue Collar Sessions EP' brought the Atlanta duo to the attention of Gotee Recrds who released the band's 'Raw Material' album in 2001. By 2003 the duo were really hitting their stride and 'Backbreakanomics' is a minor classic. A press release at the time summed up their approach perfectly. "The style is organic but hard hitting in a way that amplifies an aggressive flow that manCHILD honed as a battle rapper in the (404) underground. Their combined talents forge a blue collar mentality with transparent, honest lyrics that contrast the puffed-up, blown-out, guns 'n' girls world of wannabe rapper-pimps."

There's a little sound effect that opens up "Black Market", a little echoed rustling, a crank, a sonar pinpoint light, that is then abandoned to make way for a guitar refunctioned into a bass. This beat is hooked up by Freddy Bruno and Playdough, who also drops by to put some rhymes down, that talk about the "thousands emcees with one simile". A straight up bass then opens the track "Love's Not", to be followed by a flute, and a rolling drum, to give us a complete offering, produced by Scott Matelic and featuring Rahlo. The chorus sums up exactly what this is about: 'I know what love is, but I can explain it better, when I say, what love's not', to paraphrase it slightly. The guest drops several nice lines, like "real love is like a ghost: talked about but rarely seen", but he's straying away from Soulheir's focusedness, and is lacking cadence. Dust returns to the production board with a nice piano and slicing cuts on "Monotone". The emcee tones down his voice too, to fit the sad vibe of this track, that is like a resigned shaking one's head, being faced with all the crookedness out there.

Jordan Brand will be releasing a Spider-Man edition of the Air Jordan 1 dubbed, “Origin Story” as a nod to the pair of Air Jordan 1s that Miles Morales is wearing in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie.

I wrote the song "No Name" with my future lady in mind. I asked myself, "how can I live life to the fullest, seek her, and still do things in sight of God?"

Possession is nine-tenths of the law is an expression meaning that ownership is easier to maintain if one has possession of something. Illect beatsmith, Tee-Wyla confidently owns his moment as he emphatically proclaims 'I got it' with his new single.

This post is a compilation of some well known and lesser known CHH/Secular collaborations. Highlighting the fact that something that seems to be a trend in current seasons has pretty much always been a trend.
This list is not nor is it intended to be exhaustive.

IN. SECURE-FAVORITE BAR:” SO I PUSH YOU AWAY, CANT HAVE YOU TOO CLOSE/ BUT THEN I WANT YOU BACK YO I BE DOING THE MOST”  I love how Taelor has this confrontational conversation with his insecurities. Swoope does a great job with the production and actually makes the track sound as though this track is actually happening within Gray’s head. I love the struggle of the break up with Taelor and his insecurities. The uniqueness of this track makes it a REPEAT OFFENDER!

SCAPEGOATS-FAVORITE BAR:” MY CHURCH IS MOSTLY WHITE, BUT TRUST ME I GOT SOME BROTHERS”  As Taelor starts off reminding us that he isn’t the “king of the elephant graveyard“, he addresses the surviving elephants that remain in the room on this album favorite track! He addresses the hypocrisies within the music industry (rap’s blacklist) and it’s marketing mishaps, fickle fans, resurrecting relationships, racism, religion and apathy.  Ending with asking for God’s help before we tear the world apart, I see this as my favorite track on the album and a REPEAT OFFENDER!

Overall, I was in awe by the time the album ended. This was one of the few albums that lived up to the expectations that I had for it. Read More Here

As those who bare witness to God's grace, glory, and goodness; we walk in the "light" of His truth.  But we carry that light everywhere we go including some dark places.  There is so much negativity going on in the world and in each of our lives, that it often feels like we're surrounded by "darkness".  And that darkness wants to overshadow our light.   This song speaks to that moment by moment struggle, of which we must endure through faith.

Christon Gray - Clear The Heir

Best Song On The Record:
"Gray" has so much depth lyrically, it touches on recent social issues and calls the church to more action. It is an Ohio all-star show featuring Gray's brother Taelor and Tragic Hero. It isn't a song that can be listened to once. It is a song to sit with. The chorus is an exhortation to the listener, "There's a Heaven and we all wanna go/Does anybody wanna fall on the sword/Take my hand, I just want you to know/Healing begins when you call on the Lord."

Christon Gray is a rule breaker. He does not fit neatly within one genre. Rather, he blends them together, making something that can only be his own. His journey over the years has been the tale of the underdog. This is an artist that should not be counted out or brushed aside. Clear The Heir is an album that will be revisited years from and considered groundbreaking in its own right. Read More Here

THINGS we found along the way

There have been numerous reports that Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy were not on the same page prior to the head coach being fired by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, but Rodgers insists their relationship was — and still is — in a good place. While speaking with reporters on Monday, Rodgers described McCarthy’s dismissal as “tough” and spoke about how the two have established a close friendship off the field. The quarterback also admitted he was frustrated by some of the reports about him and McCarthy clashing. Rodgers said he had not yet reached out to McCarthy as of Monday afternoon, but he planned later in the day. Even if his personal relationship with McCarthy was still on solid ground, Rodgers has been openly critical of Green Bay’s offensive approach on multiple occasions this season. He also seemed irritated with one of the changes that was made to the Packers’ coaching staff over the offseason. Between those remarks and the rumblings that Rodgers and McCarthy weren’t agreeing on play-calling, it’s
