Indie rapper/producer Nomis releases his latest album today, Rhodes to Rome.

There's an old idiom that states, "all roads lead to Rome". Meaning, the same outcome will be reached from a multitude of methods or approaches. In the last few years, Nomis has struggled with the set backs, and pain he's faced in both life and his musical career. Suffering from the desire to go back and change the decisions that led to this point. From the fear of possibly loosing a child, to not being able to provide for his family through his art as he once could. That is until he reached the point of thinking, "maybe this is where God wants me to be right now. Maybe theres work to be done right here in this space. Maybe all roads were leading me here to begin with". Rhodes to Rome is Nomis revealing these trials with full transparency, but doing so with a spirit of hope and victory.

Rhodes to Rome is produced almost entirely by Nomis himself and features New York native Joe Ayinde, Deepspace5 Co-founder Sintax the Terrific, and fellow North Country San Diego resident Ralph Quasar. The feel of this album consistently errors on the side of, "VIBE". A tranquil atmosphere that is led by the repeated use of the classic Fender Rhodes Keyboard is spread throughout the entire album. Within the consistency of the Fender Rhodes, there is a wide range of drum patterns and instrumentation. Songs like, "Theory of Self" give a classic Hip-Hop feeling with its studio drums and deep synth bass, whereas songs like, "Act of Love" transition from minimalistic percussion to full on live drums. Rhodes to Rome is the butterfly's emergency from the cocoon as Nomis has taken clear strides artisitically in relation to his entire catalog.
