Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its re-imagined “The Lion King.”

The computer-generated and live-action remake has a galaxy of big-name stars attached. James Earl Jones reprises his role voicing King Mufasa, grooming his son, Simba (Donald Glover), to follow in his footsteps. Beyonce, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Keegan-Michael Key, John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner all are featured.

The story, directed by Jon Favreau, sticks closely to the 1994 animated classic, and the trailer kicks things off with the iconic scene of Simba being presented to the animals from atop Pride Rock. We even get some “Circle of Life” along with Jones’ narration and gorgeous visuals.

This is the latest in Disney’s effort at re-imagining its animated catalog, which started with 2010’s “Alice in Wonderland.” “Lion King” is one of three live-action remakes planned for 2019, along with “Dumbo,” directed by Tim Burton, and “Aladdin” from Guy Ritchie. It’s due in theaters in July 2019.
