The Redskins are planning on starting Kirk Cousins at quarterback in their regular-season opener against the Dolphins, sources told ESPN’s Dianna Russini.

Cousins, who has started nine games over his first three seasons in the NFL, would get the starting nod over Robert Griffin III, who is awaiting clearance to play after suffering concussion like symptoms Aug. 20 in a preseason game.
