Daily Devotional: There is a great blessing in your battle | DON'T GIVE UP!

Romans 8:18, for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Battles are faced by everyone. In fact, the storms of life come against everyone, and many times we tend to see only the bad in the storm. We only see the trouble it causes. In fact, battles make us stronger and they stretch us beyond our normal level.

If soldiers do not go to war, they become weak and this is the same for every one of us. So how can I experience blessings due to battles? For different people battle means different things. Every person goes through difficulties in life, but each person's trouble is usually different from that of another. For one person it may be a life-threatening disease like cancer, while for another it may be the loss of employment, while the troubles or battles that people face are different.

The effect of such battles on people are usually the same. The natural response is to feel frustrated with life, angry depressed or even give up totally. But what would determine if you would discover the blessings hidden in your battles or if you would not is determined by how many times by your response to your battles? Jesus said a parable once where he talked about two different types of men:  The two men decided to build a house one built on sand, while the other built on a rock one thing that struck me about these men was that, in spite of the fact that they took different approaches to building their houses, they both experienced a storm coming Against their house - and this shows that no person goes through life without experiencing a storm for it, may be early in life and some in the middle and some later on in life.

So you have to come to a conclusion that no matter who you are you will go through battles. Now many heroes of faith in scripture face different things: people like Moses, David, abraham, naomi and many others, but when they came out of that season of battle, they Appeared with blessings, so we live in what i call a social media generation, we're very active on social media and we're so affected by it. But no one shows their battles on social media only their victories or their blessings are seen seeing different people with good lives. We forget that these people must have been through their own season of battles, and then we begin to compare ourselves with them. This ultimately leads to depression and frustration, but the point of today's video is to change the way you see your battles so that you can begin to see the blessings hidden in the depths of those battles. God would only let you go through battles because he wants to bring something good from it.

I want you to understand that he's a good God and he has an expected end in mind for you and even as you're going through that battle, there's a blessing in that battle for you. So here are some blessings that you experience in battles. Battles build up. Your faith as a believer you live by faith and everything you learn through. The study of the word of God is to the end that your faith grows.

Battles are like practical sessions where the word is, like theory battles give you an opportunity to practice your faith. When you go through battles and you practice your faith, you become so sure of what you believed, because you've experienced the truth of the word in your life. You come out stronger, no one enters a battle and comes out the same. Every soldier that enters battles come out stronger and your battles give you a strength that you would otherwise not have. An example is abraham. After facing the challenge of waiting for a child for so long, God asked him to change his name from abram to abraham, which means the father of many nations.

So imagine how people would have been mocking him, the father of many nations who had no child. Yet when he finally received isaac, he was a lot stronger because he endured the season of battles and he could easily trust god to keep his promise to him, even when god asked him to sacrifice isaac, so you gain the ability to encourage others in your situation. After experiencing battles, you now have the ability to easily encourage others who were where you are. This is because you have a story with an experience which gives them the strength to know that they can also get to what you're going through.

Another advantage of being in battle is that you learn to rely on God, because difficulties have a way of making us lean on God, because it helps us realize that we're not sufficient in ourselves, and it opens our eyes to see our consistent need for God. In times of difficulty, we spend more time asking god for help. We see a challenge that we cannot face on our own, so we ask the one who has overcome the world to help us out when we see that no human can help us.

We turn our full attention to God when King Hezekiah in the scriptures suffered sickness - and he called the Prophet Isaiah to see him at that time. Isaiah told him that god had said that he should set his house in order, for he would die, but rather than appeal to the prophet isaiah asked god for help. It was at this time that God sent Isaiah back to Hezekiah to tell him that he would live. Hezekiah's near-death experience made him turn to God and to rely on him, and this is the same for many of us, because the difficulties we face make us turn to God and rely on him.

Now, how do we receive blessings even in the midst of battles? The first thing to realize is that the world is very spiritual and the physical is controlled by the spiritual. Your battles are not strictly physical, many times, in fact they have a spiritual undertone. This is why there are certain strategies for receiving blessings in the midst of battles number one hold on to the word: whatever you're going through. There is a particular scripture that would address it, whether it's sickness poverty or any other issue.

There will be answers or promises in the word so hold on to that and keep it in your heart. Do not forget but choose to believe it number two confess and meditate on the word constantly confess that word personalize it and make it what you say consistently, because your words have a powerful effect on your life so begin to say to yourself I am wealthy. I am rich, I am favored. I have received my healing. I walk in perfect health.

I am full of joy, my children are blessed, they are my source of joy and they will not cause me to be bitter. You know what you're going through so structure your confession to be the difference that you desire to see also meditate on the word, spend time in stillness thinking on the word begin to imagine the word happening in your life where the word says by his stripes, you are healed. Imagine yourself jumping up from that sick bed and being free from all the impediments that you have right now and number three spend time. Praying use your time to pray with faith.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, so your prayer makes power available which can be directed towards any issue that you may be facing. So one accurate way to win a battle is by fighting on your knees. I want to remind you that prayer works. I don't know what you may have gone through. That makes you feel like prayer may not work, but please you have to realize that prayer works and that your prayer will bring solutions to you or will give you instructions that will cause your solutions to appear.

So the lives of many in scripture show the power of prayer and even in our generation, the lives of many have shown the power of prayer. There's no point praying if you don't believe that your prayer will do something, as you spend time praying. Please ensure that you do so in faith and not a non-belief. I want to assure you that your blessings are many times hidden in that battle that you're going through. In fact, I remember a preacher saying that God is looking for an excuse to bless you.

So what you've been to may just be that excuse, after all, Job passed through in the Book Of Job, his blessings were so much and his suffering was forgotten. I want to encourage you not to give up, because there is light at the end of the tunnel.
