Daily Devotional: Admit that you are hurting | Let God Heal You (READ THIS BEFORE YOU GIVE UP)

This has to be one of the hardest things to do.
Just when you feel like you can ignore the thoughts of things going wrong, then you are asked to give it up to God? Hmmm… But really, admitting that you are hurt and letting God know so He can heal you has to be the best thing one can do for themselves.
The beautiful part is that, you are not admitting to man, but to God.

Let us lay down some basics on this issue before we move further, So, what can get you hurt? The death of a loved one. A job ? The end of a friendship? A church situation? The realization that life is unfair? Hmm
Being helpless can also hurt.
A bad phone call confirming a bad news can get you hurt. Being bullied will definitely bruise you in many ways. A dream unrealized or ending can get you hurt also. But enough with the examples. I mentioned that being helpless can hurt. But are we helpless? Are we children of God helpless? No we are not. We can never be. And what is our consolation?
Psalm 147 verse 3
It says,

“He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭147:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

The Lord is closer than we think and all the shenanigans that we display and go through while trying to mend our broken hearts by ourselves are very unnecessary and this is why Jesus is calling us to be saved in his arms so that he can wipe our tears away and heal us from our hurt.
The depth of the pit that hurt can take us into…how deep. How horrible, how disastrous. It will wipe out everything you love to do and bring in sorrow and you will begin to think that it is best for you to stay in pain because that is the only thing that feels comfortable at that moment. Funny enough, that pain is not the end of what the devil has ins tore for you, it is only the beginning of the plan of the devil. His plan is to use it to turn you to his side and leave God by making you feel helpless and making you see help In things that do not glorify God. The devil understands how vulnerable we are at that point and capitalizes on it.
It is the devil’s primary point of attack and he does not joke with it. So that is why we need to get the revelation behind the scripture that says,

“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.””
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

It is expedient to be grounded I’m scriptures like this, so that when life hits! It is a minor case because as much as you feel hurt, you also understand that you are divinely carried and protected in God’s arms and shielded from the lies of the devil.
This should be your revelation and mindset moving forward. I urge you to study this scripture further and get the revelation. This is very important. Do not say, “oh, I can not be pulled into a place of hurt so I do not need that”
The Bible says in the book of, Proverbs 4:23,
It says,

“Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭AMP‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

With all diligence also means to take precautions and be careful with it at all times!
You can not afford to lay your heart out on a platter of gold for the devil out of carelessness.
Have you ever thought to think about why the devil wants to hit you out at that point of your hurt? Hmm
It is simply because the devil knows how fragile and vulnerable you are at that point.
I think we should revisit the meaning of fragility and vulnerability so that we can have a deeper understanding of why I am driving at.
Fragility means the quality of being easily broken or damaged.
Vulnerability means, the quality of state of being exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or emotionally.
Now with these definitions, I am sure you understand why the devil takes advantage of these times.
Let us take a close look at someone in the Bible who was vulnerable. Not particularly his fault in any way.
It was more like a test, but the test left him vulnerable and accessible to the devil.
Job!
