I got introduced to Triumfant Muzik in 2010. One of the artist on the label, Konviction reached out to me. He was promoting the album he had just dropped called, “The Lazarus Experience Vol. 1”. We both share a passion for music and Hip Hop so we started vibing and became friends. He’s even done some writing for The Oracle. To be real with you, I wasn't a huge fan of that album from an artistic perspective. I loved the testimony and the passion in the lyrics but I wasn’t really feeling the production. The beats weren't wack but they didn't move me to want to listen to the tracks again. But like I said, that was 2010. Triumfant Muzik has grown and matured a lot since then.

The Power Project is a compilation album that features the whole crew, Aero, Fee-Lo, Konviction, Larry BirthRight, and Lu-I. The main idea of is to encourage everyone to plug into God’s power, and they all work hard to get their point across.

Two of my favorate songs feature Konviction on the mic and Tonejonez.com on the boards. "Heaven is Good" takes a nice Rance Allen Sample and allows it to rest on top of a knock’n sound bed. "Salvation" is a west coast banger that features a sample from the Jackson 5’s, I’ll be There. Konviction goes ham on both joints helping to add a different type of flavor to the project.

Lu-I really brought the heat on "Money." The beat sounds a little like Lloyd Banks’ "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley." But on this track, Lu-I attacks selfish wants and materialistic desires.

Aero really does something we don’t see enough of from our Christian brothers. On "Russian Roulette" and "Devil Knocking," he opens up about battling his flesh over a couple of infectious beats.

δύναμις (doo’-nam-is) is the Greek word in the New Testament that is translated as “Power”. Power is what we need to break the chains of sin’s slavery, walk upright, and do what GOD called us to do. This project shows the power at work with these brothers.This album has joints for the radio, the whip, the club or your home stereo system.
I would like to hear a deeper variety of beats and more experimenting with sounds but overall Triumfant Muzik has delivered their best work to date, with a decent amount of playback value. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they go from here.
