For supporters of Hillary Clinton, the 2016 election had its fair share of ups… before it ended with the ultimate letdown.  

Now that it’s over, some of her voters are feeling burnt out, grief-stricken, and even depressed over Donald Trump’s surprising win.

In an emotional concession speech, Clinton addressed her visibly-upset supporters.

“This loss hurts, but please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it,” she said.

Many people have been expressing their grief and are mourning the loss on social media.

“I am so sad this morning about Hillary’s loss. It seems beyond comprehension. A woman as president has never been further away,” tweeted Telle Whitney.

Raul Gonzales tweeted, “Hillary’s loss is more than just sad.  I feel like a friend has passed.”
