I often marvel at how long it took our heavenly Father to prune me down to the point of being able to use me to deliver and spread the gospel. What a road trip that was.I regret, when I look back now, how I spent at least 25 years living for myself which is AKA for fumbling around in the dark with only shadows of who I could really be, at best, as a glimmer of hope; but in reality no real structure, direction, or source to plug into for my life.

I fear that every person I think will go through this stage when you are forced to decide who or what you will ultimately serve. God or Satan. Yes, God made us to be a people of choice, and choose , no matter how hard it is, we must do.

In my experience there is a particular rumbling inside that happens to one who is His. There is a wooing that our heavenly Father does to those children that are chosen and called, and no matter what you do, no matter where you go, and no matter how far you run away - you always feel it. For it is those that God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers (Romans 8:29)

Oh, yes the conforming to the likeness of Jesus Christ is a humbling process to say the least, but I am understanding that this metamorphosis is not done so you can have that fabulous job or that Greta Garbo wife, nope, becoming like Christ is not done so that you can have a block named after you, it is not to get married nor to be wealthy. I don't think that the Almighty God has gone through all this meaning to save humanity so that, he can show that you, as an individual are the biggest, the brightest, or the best.

I know it is hard to believe, but there are some who are desperately wanting to leave a legacy highlighting what they have done, where they have been, and what they have accomplished here on earth, but a follower of Jesus Christ, in my opinion, acknowledges that the Godhead has manifested the kingdom in each one of us not to leave our legacy, but rather to leave His legacy.

I am compelled to say that it disturbs me to witness that we live in a generation of folks witnessing the platforms God can take a human to when they choose to put Him first, and it has given some that claim to seek His face a hidden agenda. You might not agree, but in some ways , in some people's eyes, it has made being a Christian 'popular' and many appear to be crossover Christians. You know, they hop on the gravy train of Christianity, to network, so that they can get a following only to ultimately crossover to where they really wanna be. It is sad, but we live in those times that even those that claim they believe have a personal agenda, and it is not to do the Lord's will.

So my question for you today is: Are you looking to glorify yourself or your heavenly Father?
A question that I believe we must all ask ourselves; a question that forces one to check his or her posture illuminating the true position of the heart.
