The Foundation of Music
[Read John 1:1-18]

There are four things that you can do at the beginning of your music ministry to get the ball rolling. There are more things, but I just want to start with four simple things you can do to began to ensure success God’s way.
Beginning With the Principal Thing
Wisdom of God
Let’s start with some text as are “mouth of two or three witnesses that the truth may be established and founded.” (Deut. 19:15, Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” (John 1:1-2).
“In the beginning God created the heaven[s] and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1).
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her [wisdom and understanding], and she [wisdom and understanding] shall promote thee: she [wisdom and understanding] shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her [wisdom and understanding].” (Proverbs 4:7-8).
In the Beginning God started to create the world with His Words. But not just any words. He had a plan. And His plan began with “the principal thing.” That principal thing was called wisdom.
The ONE Hebrew word for ALL THREE words “In the beginning” used in Gen. 1:1 can also be translated, “the first, in place, time, order or rank (specifically, a first fruit):–beginning, chief (chiefest), first part, first time, principal thing.”
With that said, it is safe to translate Gen 1:1 as “In Wisdom God created the Heavens and the earth.” God’s plan was a wise plan and He spoke the Word—WISE words of His plan.
