The Content of My Contentment
By Ricardo Butler
For the last couple of days I’ve been talking a little bit about contentment. Now I want to enlarge the “content” of my contentment. And what I mean about that is there is a much more weightier “Content” that brings me contentment. It’s like having your cake and eating it too. It’s like eating the meatier part of the steak. This is the mouth-watering part, that juicy meat!
A few days ago I stepped down from my role as the lead minister of the ministry I founded back in 2010. Now don’t get it confused. I did not quit because, “things got too hard.” I did it because I was out of place; I was out of God’s will and I lost the “joy of my salvation.” I took on weight that I was not called to take on. I was called to spread it evenly so I could handle ONLY my portion.
