New fashion designer Kierra Sheard, who was first introduced to the world through gospel music, is held to a high standard by fans.

So when the Eleven60 CEO shared an Instagram video of one of her models wearing nothing but a bra underneath her jacket and showing off major cleavage, the backlash was swift.

Those saying Sheard should do better as a representative of Christ, got a direct video response from the frustrated CEO.

“You guys are sickening!” she yelled. “She’s a model, like, how is she supposed to feel? Is she supposed to want to know your Jesus?”

Sheard suggested that Christians’ negative response to the risqué presentation is a turnoff to non-believers who will retreat from harsh judgment and criticism.

While Sheard focused on whether the model will want to know Jesus after Christians’ expressed their displeasure, others are asking, shouldn’t the fact that Sheard does know Jesus have more of an impact on what she’s willing to put out there?

“We’re thinking global—global, people,” the 28-year-old added, making the point that her fashion line is for everyone, not just Christians.
