“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:14-15, KJV).
“God told the serpent:
“Because you’ve done this, you’re cursed,
cursed beyond all cattle and wild animals,
Cursed to slink on your belly
and eat dirt all your life.
I’m declaring war between you and the Woman,
between your offspring and hers.
He’ll wound your head,
you’ll wound his heel.”” (The Message).
Now we are going to cover two portions for this particular devotional. We are going to talk about firing the bad employee. Remember, because Satan represented the bad employee in the company. And we are going to talk about destroying the competition. I know a lot of folks in the Body are like, “We can’t do that! We will be just like the world.” You will change your mind (what the Bible calls repent) after you hear this message.
Firing the Rotten Apple
God, the CEO Himself told this serpent, “thou art curse … and … thou shalt go.” That sounds like firing to me. What does that sound like to you? Not only that He cursed that bad employee. But many of you are saying, “But Paul [like he holds higher authority than God] said, ‘Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.’ (Rom. 12:14). What about that verse? And what about what Jesus [like the Son is also higher than the Father] said, when He said, ‘But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.’ (Matt. 5:44). What about these verses Ricardo?”
Well Paul and Peter must have been very disobedient, because on several occasions they curse folks in the book of Acts. Here are several examples:
“Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye [both of you] have agreed together to tempt THE SPIRIT of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out [YOU’RE FIRED!]. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost [spirit]: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And GREAT FEAR came upon ALL THE CHURCH, and upon as many as heard these things.” (Acts 5:9-11).
God seemed to fire these two CHRISTIANS for lying on the job and handling company finances and accounting wrongly! This situation was authorized BY the Lord, JESUS CHRIST (the SPIRIT of the Lord—Jesus IS the Lord) Himself!
