“Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” (Genesis 316, KJV).

    “He told the Woman:

   “I’ll multiply your pains in childbirth;

      you’ll give birth to your babies in pain.

   You’ll want to please your husband,

      but he’ll lord it over you.” (The Message).

I feel so sorry for the new girl—Adam’s wife—Eve, because it almost looks like she got the worse part of the discipline. You know that saying where they say, “The snowball rolled down the hill” or something like that? It seems like she got the harsher judgment then even the Serpent (which we already covered in the blog post Firing Employees And Destroying Competition). The Serpent’s judgment doesn’t even come until the Christ dies on the Cross and is not even fully manifested until after he comes up out of his 1,000 year prison in the bottomless pit to go into the Lake of Fire.
