It’s no secret that Draymond Green has been having a horrid season. His decline has been rapid and surprising to many. If Green is unable to turn this season around, trading him to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Kevin Love might be a solid idea.
The Warriors offense would flow much smoother with Kevin Love in place of Draymond Green. Of course, Love is no way near the playmaker that Green is, but Kevin is miles better as a 3-point shooter. Green has failed to knock down his shots this season and is shooting a poor 24.6 percent from beyond the arc.
With Love in the lineup, the Warriors would spread the floor and open up lanes easily. Opposing defenses would be forced to respect Love as a shooter, which is something that they are not doing right now with Green.
In return, Cleveland would get a chance to see what Green is capable of as the focal point of a team. Green would surely help the Cavaliers on defense and would maybe feel more comfortable in a role where he isn’t asked to shoot 3-pointers.

This trade is a bit risky for both teams, but the rewards could be high. If the Golden State Warriors want to acquire Love, this trade is one they could look at Warriors could offer for Kevin Love.
The Golden State Warriors are in a position to win multiple NBA championships. While keeping young players around for the future is important, it’s always a good idea to strike while the iron is hot. Their window for this dynasty could close at any moment so trading away some younger players is likely worth it in the end.
Jacob Evans and Quinn Cook are two players that have a bright future. Cook worked his way out of the G-Leauge to becoming a reliable backup to the two-time MVP Stephen Curry. Meanwhile, Evans has steadily been improving in the G-League himself.
Cook is averaging 7.6 points and 2.3 rebounds a game. He is shooting a very efficient 46.8 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line. His consistent minutes off of the bench have been crucial to the Warriors with their thin rotation, but dealing him away could be worthwhile.
The Cavaliers would be ecstatic to add two young players as well as add to their stockpile of draft picks. Cook and Evans may not turn into franchise cornerstones, but there is really no penalty for the Cavaliers at this point. They need all the help they can get and this trade would be beneficial.
In this first trade, we will examine how the Golden State Warriors could part way with one of their veteran players and pick up Kevin Love.
Andre Iguodala is playing in his 15th NBA season and is arguably having the worst year of his career. His back injuries have taken a clear toll on him physically as he seems unable to play at full strength in most games. Because of this, his effectiveness on the court has been wildly inconsistent.
The Warriors would obviously miss his gritty defense, but parting ways with Iguodala might be the best move. Kevin Love would be more valuable and will be more of a help to their championship run.
As for Cleveland, they will receive two First-Round draft picks to assist in their rebuilding process. They could then choose to keep Iggy as a mentor for their youth or part ways with him in another way.
