I recently caught wind of Rakim’s single called “Holy Are You” and as I was peepin’ it out a question popped up in my mind and I asked myself, “Now listening to this song, how come The R doesn’t get labeled as a Muslim rapper?” I mean, he spits spiritual undertones just like any other Christian emcee but yet it seems that Christian artists can’t break from that label of a Christian rapper, Gospel rapper and Holy Hip Hopper.
