"Meditation" is not some super-spiritual occultic practice. It's simply thinking about something over and over, and saying it. We can take what our tendencies to worry, and convert them to positive focus on the life-giving principles of the Word, by reading, writing, speaking, and otherwise thinking about it--and changing our lives for good!
Yes, if we can worry, then we can work the Word!
Worry is simply focus on the negatives (over and over, sometimes for years, until the LORD helps us be free and healed of the mess!), so meditating Scriptures in the wonderful Word of God is focusing on the positives--washing the mud out of our lives with the Living Water of the Spirit-breathed Bible!
He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.--John 7:38, AMPC
The more we wash our souls (minds, wills, emotions) with the Living Water of the Word, the more we will be refreshed and strong in the knowledge of the love of our Father, God (once we have truly believed in and received Christ Jesus as our Savior and LORD, of course! John 3:15-17).
And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.--Colossians 3:2, AMPC
The more we meditate God's Word, the more His Word will get into us--and flow our of us to others; even if we don't speak the Word out loud, it will cause us to live for Christ, and others will see Him in us--which is, my dear, why we are still on the planet!
Meditating God's Word doesn't mean we have to say it continously (which means, "without stopping") but continually (often, and we'll do it more as we learn more Scriptures, and especially when we buy art with the Word, and/or write out verses and post them around the house.
I've done this for years, and even kept some in my wallet, and car, and on the bathroom mirror; on the refrigerator, in my office, etc.
When you work the Word (instead of worry), you will have much more peace, and thus more days of Heaven on earth, which was God's Plan from the beginning, in the Garden of Eden!
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].--Colossians 3:15, AMPC
You can never go wrong meditating--thinking about over and over, especially speaking out loud--the eternal, unchanging, life-giving Word of the true God, the LORD Jesus Christ, the soon-returning King!
Jesus Christ is returning very soon. No one knows the day or hour, but when He comes, let Him find us not worrying, but trusting Him; focused on Him--the eternal Word!
10 Because you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance [have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you], I also will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth 11 I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you and deprive you of your crown.--Revelation 3:10-11, AMPC
