JUST FOR DAD
Dad may say he wants nothing more than to take a nap this Father’s Day, but surely he’d appreciate a thoughtful present. With the holiday coming up on Sunday, June 21, Cheapism.com compiled a list of affordable gift ideas that are unlikely to get buried in his closet or sent back to the store.
Forget the socks and ties. Change it up this Father’s Day with any of these affordable and memorable gifts.

INDOOR GRILL
Treat the dad who always takes charge of summer barbecues by giving him the ability to grill indoors, as well. The Cuisinart Sandwich Grill ($18) specializes in grilled sandwiches of all kinds, and can also cook omelets, French toast, and other tasty delights.

NEW TOOLS
If you always call on dad to fix a leaky sink or help hang a picture, make sure he comes prepared with the Craftsman Evolv 23 Piece Homeowner Tool Set ($14). The carrying bag contains a claw hammer, slip-joint pliers, adjustable wrench, torpedo level, snap-off knife, tape measure, and screwdriver (with 16 bits).

MAGAZINES
Even entry-level tablets cost a couple hundred dollars, but old-fashioned magazine subscriptions are usually a bargain. Make this cheap Father’s Day gift more meaningful by selecting titles that cater to dad’s hobbies and interests. You can buy 12 issues of Car and Driver for $15, 10 issues of Men’s Health for $20, or 12 issues of The New Yorker for $12.

GOLF GIFTS
This classic idea may not seem like an inexpensive Father’s Day present, but if dad sometimes fancies himself the second coming of Tiger Woods, there are plenty of daily deal websites that can bring the gift of golf within reach. Sites such as Yipit, Amazon Local, and Groupon offer dedicated sports categories to facilitate your gift-buying quest.
