Apple Inc. is rumored to have been developing its own electric vehicle (EV), in collaboration with BMW. Apple enthusiastic website, MacRumors cited a “German business magazine,” Manager Magazin, which recently reported the iPhone maker in direct alliance with BMW, to work on “Project Titan.”

Although, talks between the two have been reported to call off, before any concrete development, but it is widely reported that Apple was eying the i3; BMW’s latest electric car, as a base model to develop its own EV. The German news source is cited to report that talks initiated late in 2014, but concluded without any further development.

BMW’s i3 is an entry level model of its EV segment, with the high-performance EV i8, being the flagship model. It is reported to have launched all electric cars, part of “Project i” in 2014, with production commenced in 2013, as BMW decided to take on to the zero emission car industry, with Tesla Motors Inc. being the top US car maker in the industry. The i3 is a five door compact hatchback and a carbon fiber body.
