One of Donald Trump‘s most enduring corporate partners, NBC, has released a statement putting distance between the network and some of the Republican presidential candidate’s recent statements on immigration.
“Donald Trump’s opinions do not represent those of NBC, and we do not agree with his positions on a number of issues, including his recent comments on immigration,” reads the statement, first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
NBC co-produces the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants with Trump and is entering a 15th season of Celebrity Apprentice. But Trump’s recent comments on Mexican immigrants–They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”–have created problems.
