Is the end near?

According to published reports, Muhammad Ali’s Parkinson’s disease has advanced to the point he can barely speak and can’t leave his Arizona home.

Rahman Ali, the younger brother of the 72-year-old former boxing legend says Ali was too ill to attend last week’s Hollywood premiere of “I Am Ali,” a documentary about his life.

“I have not been able to talk to my brother about this because he is sick. He doesn’t speak too well. But he is proud that we are here for him. He has given this film his blessing,” Rahman told the Sunday People.

EUR associate Robin Ayers covered the red carpet premiere of “I Am Ali” and spoke with the Champ’s daughter, Maryum Ali, 46, about the film and her father.

“This is the first film about my father where people can make a connect to him that has nothing to do with sports, his militancy, or his religion,” Maryum said. “They’ll also connect with him as a dad. I’ve had people who’ve seen the film come up to me and say, ‘Wow, I was thinking about my father’ or ‘I was thinking about my children,’ and it brings tears to their eyes.”
