Sony Reveals S1/S2 Tablets

Tech giant Sony has released a promotional video of two Android Tablets, the Sony S1 and Sony S2. However their names may be similar but they both look completely different – design-wise. Sony has made each of these Tablets unique, stylish and attractive in its own manner. They both run on Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which is specifically designed for Tablets and are powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Just like the XPERIA Play both of these Tablets will be PlayStation-certified, which means that its owner will be able to play PlayStation One games as well as they will be able to get access to the future PlayStation Suite. Sony S1 Tablet Specifications The Sony S1 Honeycomb Tablet will have a 9.4-inch touch screen and will be shaped like a folded magazine, like any other tablet it is built for comfort and long use. Other of its features will include a front and rear camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth along with the support for Qriocity music and video service. Sony S2 Tablet Specifications On the other hand the Sony S2 Tablet will have a clam shell form factor and it will feature two 5.5 inch displays, which both can be used together for larger screen viewing. Both of these screens can be used for as a combination of monitor-keyboard or monitor-controller. The S2 Tablet will share the same specifications as the Sony S1 Tablet. As for the price and availability of these Tablets, both are expected to land in autumn of on-going year, where Sony S1 will sell for $599 and Sony S2 $699.
